Well its another declination but I found it less interesting (gave me a stomach ache and a lot of hallucinations but not that much psychedelia). Same goes for the other declinations like 2ct-7 or I dunno what they sell im clubs now.

More or less related story: Once I me and my girlfriend at the time were short of MDMA and decided to buy one at Daome and it was cheap psychedelics we got, big time. We hallucinated and felt super restless and unconfortable as there was not MDMA involved anywhere near the 'E' that we bought there.

Pretty sure it's not Ibogain I'm talking about. I'll check the other substances and try to find out. I'll post it here if I find it just in case I'm not the only one interested. Thanks for the feedback.

I think what I'm talking about might just be those ''psychoactive drugs and had used them in his practice'' thing. Thank you for taking the time.

Well, it's kind of the same thing I'm looking for, but in the 70's. Ibogaine is used now in the same way and I guess with the same effect. But I'm talking about psychiatric use of 2-CB as far as 40 years ago, before it was a party drug, when Kraftwerk was basically the only electronic band around and LSD was a new thing, too.

And it was a successful experiment.

Wasn't there an experiment or project that used 2-CB in psychiatry to calm down and connect people with their emotions and the people surrounding them?

I have all that info in my head, yet I'm looking around and don't even find a trace of it on the Internet. Wonder where I took that from. You're not aware of what I'm talking about?

There, Dee. That's what I was talking about actually. It was never a widely-used drug but it was indeed created with a medicinal intent. You can see in the timeline that 21 years passed between synthetisation and the moment it was declared illegal ''for real'' in the US.

Mise à jour » BonusBeats a écrit dessus Thu 13 Sep, 2012 @ 12:51pm
You know what? I can't find a source about the medical experiments... Weird, because I'm sure of it. I'll try to find out where I got that from :)
Mise à jour » BonusBeats a écrit dessus Thu 13 Sep, 2012 @ 1:11pm
Nice article though! It's good to see an article that put forward the positive effects of hallucinogens and that correctly points out why 2-CB is safer to use than LSD when it comes to badtrips but clearly describes how it can be positive.

If it was me writing the article, I would've avoided the references to totem animals and stuff like that ;) That's very ''psytrance'' and actually (from my experience, nothing else) psycheledic drug use have very little to do with that culture. Sometimes I even feel like psytrance is stealing the heritage of people like Shulgin and Leary. But that critic is actually an opinion only.

But it's an interesting read for people interested in understanding psychedelics, I think. Good vulgarization and good advice, too!

I'm pretty sure they would be quite happy about it and that the Chinese government watches or was watchung more or less closely if it could make it happen. I mean, they were the one getting the big slice of the Plan Nord cake.

No, what I think is incoherent is the fact that Jean Charest would have alluded to Chinese military support in the case of conflict over who owns the Arctic. I think it is a fabrication for a few reasons that I'll expose. If this part is fabricated, it puts the whole thing (article) into the "Is it disinformation or not?" zone.

Maybe it's just a twitch that I kept from my university time, but usually when one apple is rotten, appears rotten or cannot prove that it doesn't have a worm inside, you should just discard the whole apple tree until solid proof is established. If you don't you might spread disinformation (and also get low grades for using unverified info).

So, why do I think the ''Jean Charest speaks about military support'' part is fabricated?

JEAN CHAREST IS NEVER CAUGHT WITH HIS PANTS DOWN

- Jean Charest is a really resilient political beast who lost only one election (as far as I know).
He did not do that by going around making incredibly explosive claims like that "China would military enforce Canada's presence in the Arctic" statement. Jean Charest always sticks to the message. He lies, but in a way that you can never prove him wrong in a debate. His technique of not answering questions is quite annoying, yet it saved the Liberals from disaster many times (last week being a perfect example). I doubt he suddenly went crazy and made a politically explosive statement like that all of a sudden. It needs another valid source because as far as I know that article was the only thing available to support its own claim.

That does not look good for the overall credibility of it.

ALSO, GEOPOLITICS HAVE MECHANISMS AND THAT CLAIM DOESN'T QUITE FIT IN THEM

If China ever wanted to express its desire to give military support to Canada, firt of all it would deal with the prime minister and Defense Ministry -federal level. They would speak to Stephen Harper about it, not Jean Charest. And they would have to go around NATO, which is an occidental defense organisation that Canada is already a part of anf that's already commited to enforcing Canada's frontiers. Russia and China are not members, as you can easily find out here. They're not exactly ''the enemy'' but kinda.

So, I wonder how Jean Charest could make such a statement, that would be the equivalent of Quebec choosing China over NATO in a country that's a full-time, active member of NATO without even being noticed by anyone but the person writing this article.

It really needs validation.

I'm pretty sure it's not a complete disinformation article and some of the points it makes might be valid but I'm also pretty sure it's also a scarecrow article in some regards.

There are other points that can be made, but this post is already very long, so those should do.

Mise à jour » BonusBeats a écrit dessus Tue 11 Sep, 2012 @ 9:15am
Actually, I'm not even sure that NATO regulations would permit direct military talks between a member and non-member country. Otherwise, what would be the point of NATO's very existence?

I need a quote to believe that this is anything but dementia. If this was actually true, I would have a lot less trouble swallowing the rest of the article, that's just a little too anonymous and not naming sources or targets... Looks suspicious to me.

But interesting nonetheless. I wouldn't be THAT surprised if every word was true.

Actually, the Plan Nord IN ITSELF is not the baddest idea ever for an economy like ours. However, the absolutely insane way the Liberals were pushing it is despicable. They were selling our resources without regards to real benefit, in an improvised way. There was so many loose ends to the deal it was basically a joke. They even dared to call that ''Projet de société''

I hope that it is. I sure hope they can't just browse Facebook like they were you or something. But I have this puzzling story...

A friend of mine, let's call him Christian, was recently arrested by the police on the charge of simle possession (a few speeds) after they asked him if they could search him all of a sudden and he said yes. They were just at the corner from his workplace, and when he went out for his break, they adressed him by his name and immediately asked if they could search him. His answer should obviously have been ''no'', but he told me the intervention was so surprising, sudden and unexpected that he answered ''yes''.

Anyway, the puzzling part is this: after they found drugs on him, they put him in the back of the car and started asking questions about drug dealers, pointing out that they knew he was a DJ and that he saw ''a lot of stuff''. They even mentioned that they knew that he played the Circus recently and that they were looking at drug dealing in the techno scene nowadays. Christian is not sure who mentioned the Circus first, but he's pretty sure it's them.

They offered to give him an informant number so he could turn dealers in anonymously against money and also to forget the simple possession charge if he cooperated. He chose not to. Good or bad decision, I don't know. But they left him a phone number as well as what I assume to be their badge numbers in case he wanted to contact them to become an informant.

My question is: how did they know where to wait for him (workplace) and his full name if they couldn't somehow have full access to Facebook?

I'm wondering if they didn't start some operation to arrest drug dealers and decided to intercept people close to the scene with criminal cases. Christian has a criminal case.

If they had linked his name with his DJ name beforehand and started an operation to get info on drug dealing in the scene, that would explain why they targeted him precisely.

But how could they know where he works if they didn't have access to his complete profile?

I'm pretty sure they don't have enough resources to devote to following every raver with a criminal case around until they find out about their habits. It's not Omerta. So I'm left wondering how did they wrap it all together in order to make such an intervention if they can't watch Facebook.

If they can, it's easy because his name, workplace and DJ name are on his profile. But his profile is as hidden as it can be.

So....

Any of you can think of another explanation for this?
