| Description: | Throughout the years, several have associated the MUTEK Festival with an electronic current known as minimal house/techno. While this narrow view may reduce the Festival to a simple subgenre, it is true that minimalists have always been well accommodated by MUTEK. The weekend program at MUTEK 2006 constitutes a return of sorts towards that view, allowing a restoration of form while at the same time celebrating the diversity and creativity of a stream that is currently experiencing its best days, notably in Europe, and Berlin in particular—one of the epicentres of the phenomenon. The trajectory of the weekend begins by diving head first into minimalist territory—total immersion—with a series of artistic proposals linked by a coherent search of moods and textures. The artists brought together desire to remain relatively discreet to better highlight the fluid and floating character of their music, and profit from its incomparable mobility and effectiveness. |

Mais je dois avouer que j avais un parti pris pour Alex Under et que j ai été agréablement surpris par Guido Schneider ! Salle comble ! Dsl Bruce, mais tu as manqué quelque chose ... que tu aurais manqué même en arrivant pour Guido... Dommage que la foule ait été composé en majeure partie de gens qui écoutent habituellement de la musique dans leur salon en hochant la tête... Il aurait fallu du punch magique pour que la fête soit complètement démentielle... |
