Hey Naw, funny how most if not all of the Dj's on that list are:
a-english b-without any demo or promo's (not including sarcastic, whom we all love, and who might be underated by some, but no one on this board. if you're a closet music producing freak, that never plays out, maybe you should consider making a demo sometime and giving to say, oh I dunno, promoters or club owners or bar managers....just a thought...and learning french would proly help you as well, cause this is a french included kinda place, ya know... Ps-do any of these guys even exist? tobias fervioulous mossa noah pred cause, I've never heard of any of them, though that doesn't surprise me, PROMO'S! I don't know about you "Naw" but my psychic booking powers never really worked... Ufot-comments, like... |

I don't know about you "Naw" but my psychic booking powers never really worked... Ufot-comments, like... are you serious are you in some sort of time warp... my signature does nto speak for it self? I have more more then a dozen records released in canada and europe.... a demo why dont you try comming out to some of steves parties I played at a number of them or better yet go to my dj bio on ravewave (what novel idea) secondly all the aritsts I mentioned are living in mtl and play out, noah pred has a monthly at stereo, tobias has a montly at the sat, frevioulious has a weekly at laika mossa (who is french by the way) plays all over and runs complot records.... one of the many labels naw is signed to.... 3rdly like everyone else in this city I am bilingual, I speak both french and english... in fact if I didnt speak french I wouldnt have a job working for CNRAIL you fucking ignorent fool! I was born here in Montreal I was forced to learn french I didnt have a choice so dont talk out of your ass! you dont even know me from jack... a simple google search with naw neil wiernik will give you 1000s of hits and tell you that you my friend live in a fucking vacumme, not aware of any thing in othe then your little world! oh and will more then a dozen releases why would I need to make a demo unless you dont buy records or read electronic music magaaines where my reocrds usually get great reviews do you even read vior, hour, ici or the mirror all my records get reviewed there...lts face it you just dont pay attention to the greater scene unless you get a demo in your hand... just becasue you never heard of these people that does not mean they dont exisit get your ego in check the world does not revolve around kirk 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Ps-Im not kirk6 Ufot-things... re read your post and see how insulting it is to me and all the other artists/djs I listed and then youll see exctly why you rub me the wrong way!!!! a promotures job is to find new artists not to wait for them to come to him or her. its your job as someone whos promoting shows to get out there keep your ear to the ground find out whos doing what...approach artists for demos or records, read reviews, go to parties to har new artists play. its not about sitting back and waiting for people to come begging to you... sure a lot of promoters do this and its the reason why most promotires throw the same party time aftet time with the same djs/artists with the same visuals in the same 3 or 4 venues... |

well, as per the events that I help accomplish, I can assure you that we do keep our ears to the ground, and I guess you could say we do sometimes rely on our status to attract tallent, it's not like the cloud series doesnt. If people we've never heard of want to play at our events, they need to show us that they want to, through friends or directly whatever, we're always open to new things...
if you're insulted by ingnorance to you and your friends, and what you've accomplished, well all I can say is sorry. I do way more then just help throw parties in this city, and my many interests keep me rather busy, so me not knowing certain current things is not unthinkable, geez. and about our events, we've never used the same location twice, ask anyone, and though we do re-book certain dj's in this city, we do it for reasons like their sound evolution and obvious crowd appeal. Whatever, to me it sounds like you've just got a big chip on your shoulder, and I don't think your attitude towards me is very fair, like you couldn't see the childishness of my last couple of posts...wtv Ps-wuts the point of taking the things I posted this seriously anyways? You have shit you're doing, so you must have things locked down? Ufot-wit rekids |

If you have a steady night going.. then yes... your job is to find new ppl to expose. You have a steady ground to work on.. and don't have alot of risks to manage. Now when you are throwing a party and you have limited space in your line-up and alot of risks to manage... you do it as too to have as many ppl come... cause giving away money to DJs that don't bring ppl.. is not a promoters game. Otherwise... a good way to get DJs known are through channels that music lovers use... i.e. forum boards... usualy you let the music speak for itself... I have to say... I realy liked what I heard. Your music is solid. Agressivness towards promoters and other party goiers makes it hard to book some acts cause alot of ppl would refuse to come to a party mearly because they dislike a person. BTW.. Noah Pred IS AWSOME! He makes me want to move to the West Coast. I booked him for a gig I was doing in NYC. He's the nicest guy around. Calls me after 3 months in Europe, just saying hi. chill ppl always make the tape. |
