Yay I work in an gas station, I'm paid 9$ per hours, 40hr/week oh but that's not a problem, I have my friends the weekend we have fun yay But after 5years you realize you wasted it, when somebody else, who was thinking bigger, got a full time job at 25$ per hours and still have friends also and loooooooooooooooots of fun. Is life condition is far better To me some free parties (Like we see them these years)are like the gas station : an acceptation of a miserable life I don't call it progress it's a complete waste of time and energy I send demos and sometimes I don't have answers, it's sad but that force me to work harder do more PR, it's motivating To be brief: Think Bigger |

 Coolness: 36190 | ?? that made no sense, I'm studying full time and I don't work for 9$/hour. I got into this because I have experience in sound tech and I've had connections to get equipment. I'll always keep doing free parties even if I get to throw big events.

We had BBQs and water and such but those things barely broke even because we're not in it for the money, we never say no to someone asking for water or food even if they don't have money. I'm down to help for any party, and I want to be part of the scene and see it progress. Nice, I like your attitude :) |

 Coolness: 46720 | I love to do free parties occasionally, yes for the FUN of it, like throwing a bbq only with 150-300 people and more booze then hotdogs; and a sound system, some deco and lights!
you can Give a free-hi quality event, even with hi profile acts that would normally charge hotel, transportation and fee, but they do it as a gift for themselves and for everyone else, just for the fun of it. With NTK we never collect a dime from our dj-live sets or work shift, even in paying events. that's because all the money goes into buying equipment, generator, speakers, etc.. to improve the quality of future parties and at least it doesn't cost us anything. That being said, if music is your main career, you obviously can't play for free most of the time cuz that wouldn't support your lifestyle and you would have to get another job, thus being unable to fully concentrate on you music. |
