About 5 min away from either Verdun or De L'eglise Metro, 2 buses that bring me from downtown to my house in about 20 min, and that's if I hit lights and traffic. Yup, I can definitely see what a terrible part of the city it is ;) |

When I start to look for a new apartment I'm thinking it's going to be in that area. Big apartments in gorgeous old buildings <3 Before I settled on the place I'm in now, there was this awesome lower duplex I was looking at with a fantastic backyard and MASSIVE kitchen. Sadly, was just slightly out of my price range and the landlord wouldn't go lower :( But for now I'm happy in Verdun =D |

seriously, the oldest neighborhood in montreal, fill with Irish heritage and parks! My apparement is more than 100 years old, and no mice problem :P im really pissed about the new condos being build on the canal, after this summer we won'T even see downtown anymore... and that makes me sad but it will take more than that to kick me out from where i live. just love it. Outremont is also an awesome place to live, minus the price range for rent and the fact that it's fill with orthodox (i don't mind people choice of religion, except when it makes my life harder! and I never had a great experience with those people, probably because woman have no rights in their eyes) |
