It takes more than 8 months for Montreal Construction Workers to fix water pipes on Pine...
It takes more then 2 years for Montreal Construction Workers to repair the statue on the Mountain...
It takes 1 year for Montreal Construction Workers to fix water pipes on St Denis...
It takes 2 years for them to put concrete down near Place Des Arts metro...

ARE WE DOING SOMETHING WRONG???
I'm feeling nuclear right now..

The building of the «ilôt Voyageur» was stopped about three years ago. Québec recently bought it for 20M$ and wants to continue the project.
I'm feeling the end of session x_x right now..

I think its because like jojo said, they have a lot more workers; I also agree with rakoon that they probably have less strict construction regulation; and most of the large pieces used to build the hotel were built elsewhere, so they're just assembling big pieces together (we don't know how much time that took, or the planification, architect plans, etc).
All of this said...

Montreal construction workers should all take a long, hard look at this video.
I'm feeling cured right now..

That building is earthquake proof according to the article. I read it a few days ago when I saw it. They got everything down right (allegedly)
I'm feeling got a good feeling about this right now..

I see also that they work at night
I can't imagine workers fixing water pipes on St-Denis between 22 and 6 o'clock in the morning
Already bars in the Plateau have fines for less noise then that :p

Well some reorganization is definitely needed... Instead of working all over the city a couple of people per area, and closing off half of the Montreal streets maybe they should group the workers up and have them finish one thing before starting on the other. Power of numbers...

Also there was no excuse for it to take 3 years to repair a statue...

I don't think the statue at Mount Royal ever was a priority Noah, it seems to me from reading your posts lately that the government and law enforcement should basically revolve around your way of thinking. I don't get it.

There are MANY excuses why it can take 3 years, you need at least one expert in this type of statue to direct work flow, materials may be hard to come by, budget might be spent on more critical issues, etc.

Raves and a pill fueled gazebo are top priorities for the city I'm sure...
I'm feeling so many robots! right now..

They closed the statue area for a whole summer and didn't touch it... There is no excuse for this. The gazebo area was fine... But I'm sure a lot of vendors were pissed! I live 2 blocks away, I saw the whole thing and an insane lack of work.

Maybe they should bring all people around the problem "1" night (a very noisy one)
So they can fix all very fast and hope nobody complain for one stupid night...
I'm feeling to be determined right now..
