I don't believe anyone can say: driving a car represents this or that.. cars are a very recent invention, they could hardly be embedded deep in the collective unconscious, in the way that universal themes of sex, death, fear, anxiety, good, evil, birth, rebirth etc would be, cross-culturally how did they decide that a car in dreams can be analogous to sex life? based on what data? how many people were interviewed and who conducted the tests? if a car represents sex life then what symbolize sex life before the invention of cars? all that tells me, is that cars apparently represent sex life to the author. he or she is just projecting their simplistic personal views I just find these explanations pretty suspect. they have about as much validity as... daily horoscopes. don't get me wrong.... I love analyzing dreams.. I just dont agree with a lot of those online dream reference sites... too broad |
