In Quebec : Basicly all the companies who used the network of Bell/Telus and Videotron/Cogeco.

Basicly in Quebec most of the Internet service Providers will pass by Bell or Videotron Network.

Some area like Trois-Rivieres got Cogeco and on the far east Telus.

So with this new law from the CRTC all the order companies will charge higher price to pay the higher price the main compnies will charged them

If you got ADSL in Qc it is Bell or Telus Network

If you got Cable modem in Qc it is Videotron or Cogeco (maybe some rare case Rogers on the limit of the Ontario)

You can wait if you got a contract, but if you don't maybe they will as soon as the CRTC apply this law...

We all hope so that NEVER happen

They can change the prices even if you have a contract but you're allowed to break the contract because of that. I did that with Videotron when they started limiting people.

Videotron like all other respect the contract until it's finished.
Like the 30$ limit on the high speed, they switch to 50$ only when the new contract start.
Every comapnies must follow the contract

I used Videotron and I assure you that they did not follow the contract. They sent a letter saying I would have a limit of 100gigs a month even though I was already on a contract for unlimited. This is the reason I cancelled...

Like many unlimited plan they go with a small sentence on the contract that said, on the limit of the acceptable.

But if you read carefully this notice, they informed the customer for the next contract, same for all the modifications they made. Like almost every year they add a 1$ for all their connections speed.

nope Videoétron didn't wait for the end of the contract, they send us a month notice even though our contract wasn't due till 4-5 months.

But we had the right to break the contract without penalty...
I'm feeling a ok right now..

Ok we don't talk about the same NOTICE, the notice for the unlimited switch to LIMITED 100GB it's a notice that you benn inform about and no "price" change.

What I was talking on my first post, it's when Videotron switch price they do it at the end of the contract but that's true on the "limited" they offer to stop the contract if you reject the modification to your contract.

Going from, say, 60$/month unlimited to 60$/month for 100gig total isn't a price change? Well, ok, if you only download less than 100 gigs, you ARE still getting the same speed.. But unlimited and monthly limits are two entirely different things.
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..
