i dont understand, its still psytrance bass to me, its a psytrance everything to me! i think in both version, your bass need more character, you could change the sound again, but if you wanna keep the same sound, id add distortion to add harmonics in the sound, and eqing, to get a bit more low-mid, but the overall of the track sounds thin, i thing you should re-do the eqing/mixdown of the complete track! when you do the mixdown of the track, at what volume do you mix? loud? note that you should mix around 80db, which mean you can talk while the music is playing without the need to raise your voice, if you mix too loud, you think its fat enough but in reality it isnt. *personal opignon : god i hate that kick HAHAH* |

 Coolness: 221870 | maybe i'm def, but the track sounds great to me. very groovy and i really like how the bass sounds. it's not supose to sound like a techno bass and it's obviously a psy track. the hats sound fine and so does the rest. as for the minor details about mixdown, i'd rather not comment as i'm not the best referance (refer to top portion and me being def lol) :) |

Other than the mid 'click' in that kick, everything else just.. I dunno, for lack of a better term, it lacks balls. It's not full, it's not well defined, it doesn't sound like it's "full".. the kick-click asside, everything else sounds like I'm listening to it on 4" computer speakers with no sub.. Grab yourself the BBE Sonic Maximiser and put that on your bass and synths; bass preser for the bass and guitar preset for the mid-range leads/synths.. It'll give you a world of difference in the sound and make it more 'full' |
