For him, no, I don't have any compassion, and I don't feel sorry for him, because he BROKE THE LAW IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE AND IT ENDED UP WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND DYING.

I feel bad for her, I feel bad for her family, but for him? Fuck NO. He was irresponsible, and now he's going to have to live with the fact that he was not mature enough to make an intelligent decision about something that did actually turn out to be a life or death matter.

I don't know if you or anyone else realises it, but a car is NOT A TOY. A car is 1000-2000 pounds of metal and fiberglass, capable of going so fast that it can uproot a tree or cut another person completely in half if you hit them.

There is a REASON that speeding is illegal; if you hit someone/something when you're going too fast, chances are that people will get crippled or DIE.

There is a REASON that people without propper driving experience are only allowed to drive a car with someone that DOES have driving experience sitting in the front seat; if you do something stupid or drive recklessly, they are supposed to be there to set you straight in the same way a driving instructor would. You're never going to learn from your mistakes unless you know what you're doing wrong.

HE FUCKED UP, she's the one that payed the price. I feel as much compassion for him as I would for a drunk driver that kills a person; ZERO. He did something stupid and wreckless at the controlls of a 1000+ lbs speeding vehicle, and he should NOT be pittied for making stupid choices in life.
I'm feeling older right now..

Screwhead come on, what the hell man. All everyone is saying is that it is enough, the drama is not welcome right now on the subject.

Like I said anyways, this whole thread lacks respect, from just being created. I so know this was gonna happen.

Reaper, just stop reading PLEASE. It is not the time for you to read crap like this. No matter who's right or wrong.

Lemme try to be objective.

1) It sucks that someone lost a life this weekend, at such a young age. Being that she was noted to be depressed, it makes it even worse to me, as she had not been yet able to experience how beautiful life could be.

2) Had I only a temp permit, I would not drive when there's a snow storm outside, light as it might be. Whether or not it was an accident, it was his decision to drive while unexperienced to do so and which resulted in her death. Yes, he did not mean it but yes, it is his fault.

3) Screwhead might be harsh about this but if it helps Reaper understand better the consequences of his actions, so be it. He needs people like Screwhead to really nail it in, as most kids Reaper's age need. Let's remember than kids in Quebec seem to think they're immortal while driving: Car crashes still top our youth's death list in Quebec. And we won't make things better by trying to soften the blow.

While I think it's useless to repeat the point Screwhead makes (once is enough), it's good that he put it into words because those words NEED TO BE READ.

It's okay to offer your respects about the girl. I do too. But please stop trying to cheer him up, saying it's not his fault or that he needs to be sheltered. He NEEDS the grief and NEEDS to see how stupid that was.

If he had been drunk, none of you would be telling Screwhead to stop right now.
I'm feeling happy right now..

Kid, I feel for your loss. Really, I do. But externalizing blames is not the way to respect her.

You want to respect her? Listen to Tamala and take a break, really think deep on what happened and what could have prevented it.

Yes, it hurts. And it will keep hurting. And I don't wish it on anyone. I'm not trying to piss you off, seriously.

I've seen car crashes happen to friends of friends. I've suffered loss, myself. I understand how you feel.

Like DR.N said; if no one tells him he fucked up, how is he going to know he REALLY fucked up.

Like he said, had he been drunk, it would be a fucking witch-hunt for his head on a steak. Be it drunk driving, speeding, driving recklessly, whatever, the fact of the matter is he did something he shouldn't have (even if he wasn't speeding like he claims, he still went driving without a proper license) and it ended up with someone dying.

HIS actions, HIS choices, led to a loss of life, and he should be treated just like any other drunk driver or street-racer that breaks the law and gets someone killed.

i think the guy have a father and he will probably pass in court for what happen... i don't think to have that say in a public forum by a stranger is going to help...

when i passed my permit in USA i was surprise to discover very different rules than in quebec... i didn't have a temporary permit.. i just got the official permit right after 1 month that i passed the exam..

it could have happen to anyone..

it's the fault of the guy but i'm sure he feel enough guilty...

i tell you right away if i die while my husband drive and that he made a judgement mistake..

I DARE ONE OF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS to say to him horrible things to make him feel guilty.. i will rise up from hell to pursue you. is that clear?
I'm feeling hitched right now..
