Once, I remember I was talking with some friends after a rave got broken up and I was like "BEST RAVE EVER! I lOV YOU GUYS!" and they were like "um....it full of meth heads. Theyre ruining our scene." And a second time, I remember I was having the best time ever and went out for a smoke, and a few friends were leaving, and I was like "Why are you leaving, its only 1 am? I love you guys, and this is the best rave ever." And they were all like "its super sketchy in there with all the meth heads. Doesn't it feel gross?" And I was like "meth heads?" Oh, and btw it seems the meth heds in toornto love the DnB since...so its right up ur alley :D |

I'm not going to just "leave" because some people chose to smoke-box the party. It's one thing to have some smoke in the parties, but when you get tons of chain smokers who refuse to go outside, this is what happens (see my photo on the left). A lot more people have left the scene than you realize over it. I never thought I'd say this, but I might actually switch to the club scene over it. the best example was when Ms. Vegan said she'd start dancing with her poi sticks.. i'm sure she doesn't dance in the middle of the dancefloor out of respect for the mass of people dancing in front of the Dj booth because HER CHOICE to poi at parties could get someone hurt. If there is not a reasonable space to spin them, I either don't or make the chains super short by wrapping them around my fingers. Not nearly as much fun as spinning them full out (just like I'm sure it's not as nice for you to have your smoke outside as opposed to inside) but HEY I know how to COMPROMISE. :) I don't say "get out of my way, I'M a poi spinner, now you must all be uncomfortable and squish together more so that *I* can have me my poi room.." BTW I assure you I am just as addicted to spinning my poi (full-out and not wrapped around my fingers, at that) as people are to their smokes.
