Unless the person attacking you is someone you've known all your life that you know isn't carying a weapon, for all you know the person that just hit you could very well be trained to kill you with their bare hands or could have a weapon on them.
Every time someone attacks you, it very well COULD be a fight for your survival. Even if they're not a trained fighter, all it takes is a lucky punch to knock you out/down, and you can smash your head on the sidewalk and break your skull, which very much could lead to death at the hands of some 5'1" 90lbs girl. If someone has the balls to attack me, male or female, they'd better be ready to fight to the death, because I very much interpret any sort of physical violence against me as a potentialy lethal attack, and I will very much fight with all of the strength and savagery of someone fighting for their survival. |
