Here's what seems to happen when I attempt that, though : - I often get up, grin and give my place in the metro to elderly women. But they usually proceed to look at me in a suspicious way, sit down and hold their purse closer to them. - As the bus arrives, I wave my way invitingly to let an elderly person get in the bus before me. But then about 4 fuckers run in and cut her off. - Same thing at the grocery store at the cash. - I borrowed money to friends when I was younger. A few years down the line, that money is nowhere to be seen. But if I start mentioning it, they ask me to stop being such a cheap ass bastard. - I used to be the one people confided into when I was younger. Everyone would tell me their ailments, distress and such. For once in my life, when I started feeling blue and somewhat depressive, people would avoid me and I'd end up on their voice mail all the time. - I used to have a car and I kept giving lifts to people when we exited bars, movie theaters and other various public places and this, regardless of time and distance from my place. For the few occasional times my car was at the garage, I'd ask the same people if I could get a lift with them ( for once ) and I'd generally get the runaround. - I used to stop at red lights. But apparently, it's more of a suggestion than a security issue now. - Try overpaying. The chances of this being noticed by the person you are paying are magically out the window. Try UNDERpaying and see what happens. - I used to give money to panhandlers. That's until I started smiling, saying " sorry " and they started telling me to fuck off. Apparently, beggers are the biggest fucking choosers there is. - I used to give money to various charities. But I stopped when I started noticing the people I gave money to appearing on various local news stations as being wanted by the RCMP and having " apparently fled to Portugal ". - I used to recycle like mad, had 2 green boxes going, all categorized by cardboard, glass, steel, etc. But I stopped being so helpful when I noticed half the contents of my boxes strewn all over the sidewalk, waiting the next week and actually SEEING the guy doing the same with just about every other box on the street. SO TELL ME ABOUT CHANGING THE WORLD ONE PERSON AT A TIME STARTING WITH ME. When I stop having the impression I'm the ONLY FUCKING ONE trying to make an effort to be kind, generous and helpful to others and when OTHERS start doing the same towards me, maybe I won't be so fucking jaded about this process and be more enthusiastic about it. For this to happen, the world would need to feel genuine respect and concern for each other. Concepts that eludes our economically oriented society. |

They are my close friends. What about " stranger to stranger " kindness ? Where the fuck is that ? Oh I see it, I experience it too. But there's a lot of work to be done before I get on board the " make someone you don't know feel good " boat. I've tried for years and I've stopped being like that because of all the time, money and energy I've personally spent in vain. And for EVERYONE that I see acting " ok ", I genuinely tell them. And they appreciate the gesture. :) This was merely my opinion of " be kind and others will be kind to you " which unfortunately doesn't work so well in our greedy and self-centered society anymore. |

moi sérieux j'ai de la misère à dire non, alors quand quelqu'un me demande du change ou de l'aide ben j'y en donne. J'ai la naïve mentalité qui faut s'entraider entre nous. Je dis naïve car y'a pas beaucoup de gens qui pense ainsi aujourd'hui et qui finalement profite du monde comme moi. Mais je vous jure c'est là qu'on réalise que le Karma existe. Au moment où je me disais que tant de gentillesse après tant d'année m'avais rien donner, je croise mon sauveur. Je vous explique. C'étais la vieille de noël, j'habite à QC et j'ai 18 ans. Je vienne de lâcher le CEGEP car je manquais d'argent et je manquais d'argent car j'aimais beaucoup la drogue à cette époque. Fack pas une cenne pour descendre à noël voir ma famille, ma mère m'envoit le $$ pour prendre l'autobus de QC/MTL. Moi avec mon génie de junky teenager je prend cette argent pour m'acheter de la dope, à moi et mes colocs. Je pensais que j'aurais eu le temps de trouver 50$ avant noël mais me voila avec 48$ dans mes poches dans la gare d'autobus. C'est 60$ pour descendre à montréal... Je capotais. Pas question d'appeler maman pour encore de l'argent, quelle excuse que je pourrais donner? Je vous jure alors que j'étais assise désespérer y'a un gars qui me dit que X personne avait entendu mon problème, quand je m'obstinais avec la caissière de me laisser un ticket, et que lui y voudrais bien me vendre son billet même si j'ai pas l'argent total. En échange d'y trouver du pot quand y sera a montréal. C'est à partir de ce moment que j'ai réaliser que c'étais pas de la chance, mais bien parce que je le méritais. Autre exemple: Je suis dans le métro, assoifé comme ça ce peut pas. Tellement que je commence à être étourdie et je dis à haut voix décourager, "Criss que j'ai soif" Un kid de 10 ans qui s'en allait a l'école, ma tendu son jus de fruit pas ouvert tabarnack! J'avais les larmes aux yeux, surtout quand y ma dit que c'est tout ce qu'il avait pour lunch. Évidemment, je lui est donner 5$ |

Mon sposément ami Bruce, que ca fait 3ans qu'ont se voit, qu'ont rave pis qu'on trip solide, tsé, je le considère comme un grand chum. Entk, ya 1an après un rave y me dit qu'il a perdu ses lunettes dans le rave, ils les retrouve pas pentoute. À l'after party y vient me pleurer qu'il lui faut ses lunettes pour travailler et conduire et me demande 130$ pour qu'il s'achète d'autre lunettes "Je suis son seul espoir" et dit qu'il va me le remettre une autre fois. Moi "filty rich" avec 500$ dans mon compte, j'dit OK, parce que tsé, c'est mon grand chum, mon partner de rave et y fait pitier. Ont se revoit au Saphir 1 semaine après et me donne 35$ comme premier dépot. BEN TABARNACK! C'étais le dernier dépôt aussi ca dlair!! Parce que j'ai essayé d'y reparler mais ya disparu. POUF! pus de news! J'ai été en sacrament après lui, y ma vraiment décu. Jlai revus dernièrement, ya recommencé à raver, le cave fait semblant de rien quand ont se voit, y doit surment pensé que j'ai oublier depuis le temps. haha, PENTOUTE! Entk, c'est ca que je pense pour cette partie. Pour les problèmes de société en général, jpense que le monde a perdu beacoup de valeurs comme l'honneur, le respect, la compasion ect. Jblâme sérieusement les médias pour ca, les parents aussi(pour pas les avoirs transmis) et je dirais que pour la génération 12-13-14-15 ans et avenir, se sont les médias qui sont devenu les parents et tuteurs. Vous vous demandez pourquoi la petite fille de 14 ans agit en slut? Simple, écoute Musique+ pendant 30sec...tu va savoir pourquoi. Pis ya n'a d'autre(média) qui embarque dans la même gamique parce que c'est vendeur, ils s'ent foutent du côté moral, exemple les pilules ÉNERGIE qui vendent au Couche-tard. Je déteste la pub! Ya n'a juste trop et c'est rendu tarla en ciboire et ils créent des besoins qu'ont a pas nécessairement [ besoin...com ] le cellulaire Pour mon cas, j'essaye d'être moi, that's it. Pas du tout un produit que les médias veulent que je sois, que je devienne ou représente. je ne suis pas Max, sexe masculin, qui fait tel job, qui s'habille de tel style, non! Je suis Max, l'être humain, qui cherche mieux à comprendre l'humanité et à s'améliorer et faire paix avec soit même, corp et esprit. My 2 cents |

| Coolness: 159175 | Il y en avait en sale de la pub dans mon temps aussi. Il y a avait des annonces de jouets à tous les postes vers 16h. C'est ben juste s'ils ne venaient pas faire de la pub pour les Gi Joes et le Transformers dans les écoles.
Mais mes PARENTS ( ça existe-tu encore ça ) m'ont appris que la télévision n'est pas la vérité absolue que je dois suivre à la lettre. Astheure, les enfants sont en effet élevés par des fantômes qui finissent par quasiment oublier le prénom de leur enfants ou ben ils achètent une console de jeu, les assis devant, reviennent dans le salon quand ils ont 12 ans pour voir s'ils sont encore vivants et reviennent dans leur chambre quand ils ont 18 pour leur dire " quoi ? Tu vis encore icitte, toé ? T'as toujours pas déménagé ? Qu'est-ce tu fais ? " Facqu'effectivement, il y a carence au point de vue " parenting ". |

D'autres ont essayé de créer des sociétés anarchiques.. même scénario! On est dans la merde et va falloir s'y habituer.. sinon faudra trouver une idée géniale pour rendre le monde meilleur.
