yeah, now if only he didn't cheat and pre beatmatch all his tunes to 174/135 bpm so that he doesn't actually have to mix and can just get drunk and push play, that would be a hell of a lot better.

I don't usually mix dnb,but even all my other songs ( nu/tones,pendulum,fresh,john b) are all kinda same bpm.John B soundz pretty well tho with HHC.especially the old stuff. You should help me to find more cheezy dnb like that Screwhea! i had a bad time searching on juno to finally got some nu tones cheezy stuff .

well, I'm not too good on the cheezy stuff, I've been mostly into the really, really hard borderline breakcore/hardcore DnB these days.. But what I meant was that John B makes all of his own songs at 174/135 exactly, and every song from other producers that he plays he loads into Ableton and changes them to 174/135 if they weren't so that he just has to put in a CD, push play at the right moment, and use the mixer. He doesn't beatmatch, and he's said it himself; he gets paied to get drunk, and beat-matching drunk doesn't always work, so he just cheats and doesn't need to beatmatch, just keeps the CDJs on 0% and everything lines up!

Teebee does the same, but he does it all at 172. Every single Teebee track from about 2001-2002 on is exactly 172 bpm, and every track/dub MP3 he gets he re-pitches to 172 so that he never has a "bad night" mixing (that's why all his sets are flawless).

Future Prophecies take it one step further and make tracks that have 2-3 tracks mixed together already, all at the same BPM, so they only "mix" every 3 tracks, and really they're just switching from one 6-8 minute mini-mix to another.

Hell, Andy C does it too, but he fakes it even better because he actually gets his re-pitched tunes pressed to dubplates, that's why he can mix over 40 tracks on 3 decks in 1 hour; his shit's all at the same speed. Stick 3 decks on quartz lock and all he has to do is put the record on, find the first beat, and let go at the right time and presto, instant mix!
