As for jungle being a thing from the past, it's always been there, especially in the UK and it's now everywhere, never has the Amen break been used so often since the boom of breakcore, mashup and jungle-tekno. Harder drum&bass also have a very junlistic sound those days. Ragga jungle itself has seen a lot of new labels these past years, it got really big in europe again with strictly jungle nights being put on and homegrown talents appearing in just about every countries. All of these following the influence of, believe it or not, Canada. When it comes to electronic dance music very few styles have disappeared since 88, actually the only one I can think of is happy hardcore, a style that you guessed it, can be found a plenty in the O so trendy Montréal ;) Originally Posted By basdini

Was wondering why so few jungle nights since the production is high, didn't notice most of those labels where from Ontario and it made such difference. |
