Was your machine it a laptop? Was your machine an integrated machine like the iMac? All of this is possible if you buy a desktop Mac, which exists. Any other mac, you could do most of what you did-> [ www.apple.com ] The advantage you have as a Win32 user is more motherboards and video cards to chose from, the disadvantage is that this may or may not be as stable. As for all the other components, they are pretty much the same now. Even the CPU. |

 Coolness: 83905 | if you have a desktop you can upgrade just about everything exept the mother board and processor which is specific to your model... ie. you can't upgrade a g4 to g5.
but video cards, sound cards, hard drives power supplies, memory ect... are all completely upgradable. |

| Coolness: 44330 | I've seen unsupported upgrade kits in action. Apple won't sell them to you but people have "upgraded" motherboard and chips.
This is called "WASTE OF TIME" in my book, but hobbyists love this shit. |

 Coolness: 509590 | Vista is better than XP IF you have a brand new computer. DON'T upgrade TO Vista, BUT don't worry about buying it with a new computer. There's nothing inherently worse about it, in fact, on a newer machine it is BETTER than Windows XP. Mac software will always be superior because it's tied directly to the hardware, allowing significant optimization.
I garantee you that what I just said is true, and also good advice for anyone considering a Vista or new computer purchase. If you can afford it and want the whole package to work out of the box, buy a mac, if you just need the internet or a computer for business and are on a budget, buy a PC. |

J'ai toujours été PC.. Windows.. les logiciels moin chèr (warez :S) et beaucoup de freeware !! Mais la j'veux faire dla musique, du design... C'est peut-être plus spécifique à Mac d'après sque j'ai entendu dire... Fini le temps que je jouais a RTCW, AOE ou NFS !!! Maintenant j'veux produire ma musique :D !!! |
