Andrei KOsitsyn got called up fm Hamilton. He'll be playing on the 2nd line with Kovy and Sammy. Perezhogin goes baclk to third line and Begin goes back to the grinder line...

let's see if that'll shake things up any... i do have a good feeling about this game though...let's say 3-1 Habbies

I'll give Latendresse credit for his first goal last night... the other one only went in due to the power of Sourray's shot which probably would've gone in regardless of Latendresse's negligible deflection. I'm glad he's starting to produce some points but he's still overhyped and has an uphill journey ahead of him.
After last night's game he's got 4 points and his +/- is at -4 ... which isn't too impressive considering... Granted he hasn't been getting as much ice time as most players but even Streit has 5 assists and is at +1 so something definitely doesn't make sense.

First of all, and I don't understand this, Latendresse is at -5 where as in the Gazette he was at E.
But just like Ryder last year, a player without a BIG name is scoring our goals, and that earns him respect.
I'm feeling all that right now..

After 16 games played, Latendresse is 12th in points on our team, 9th if you don't include defensemen. The way I see it if you've only got 1 point with a negative +/- in 15 games (or less arbitrarily: 163 minutes, 25 seconds) then you shouldn't even be on the team let alone overhyped as though you were the next Crosby, Kovalchuk, or Ovechkin. I only picked Streit before cause he's one of those players I see as being counter-productive in the long run cause he draws alot of penalties. Anyways, let's compare him to Mike Johnson for example who's a decent player at best... He's played as many games & currently has 5 goals (none of which were scored on a power play whereas 2 out iof the 3 latendress goals were power play goals which probably wouldnt have been scored at even strength) and has 5 assists. his +/- is at +7 and he's 13 years older so despite having more professional experience, his speed & endurance should be considerably lower by assumed implication. Somehow he has double as many shots on net (40 vs Latendresse's 20). So far Latendresse has 150% of Johnson's penalty minutes eventhough Johnson has approximatemately 40% more icetime (Latendresse's TOI = 171:36 vs Johnson's TOI = 238:33)

Honestly, regardless of their experience in the NHL, these guys train for years in the juniors and they're getting paid six figure saleries to do nothing except play hockey. The truth is most of them don't care or try hard enough to optimize their efforts each and every minute of every game simply because they know that it's not as if they're going to lose their jobs if they don't. In a worst case scenario they'll get traded to another team that'll still pay them more than the average doctor makes.
I'm feeling you up right now..
