Last I checked smoking cigarettes can stunt your growth.. it has nothing to do with genetics. Brain damage can be genetic but it can still be caused by drugs. Genetics don't protect you. If you have the big-boob genetic and you are anorexic, I'm sure you won't get big boobs, even if you get fat after. |

I sorta managed to tone down the anxiety, paranoia, panick attacks and bad memory caused by my old drug addictions by being vegan, mostly eating raw and juice fasting 4 times a year(bout 3-7 days each time). In fact when I quit drugs, I fasted for 7 days so eliminate the toxins... It really rejuvenated my body, I felt so much younger, stronger and alive. If that's any help for your former drug addicts... |

I read an article a couple years ago while still in college, about how Marijuana affected children's growth. can't find the article back, it's been a while, but I remember that it said that taking marijuana as a teen (wich means before age 21, biologically speaking) afected not only growth, but also brain developement. From what I remember, it is mainly due to the fact that your body has to spend all his energy regenerating itself, instead of growing like it's supposed to be. Can't remember the numbers, but I remember that brain developement was the mostly affected and almost stoped. Wich means that people that started weed at age 14 had roughly the same brain at age 21 then they had when they started consumption. They had more knowldge, they had matured ... but they still lacked something that most adults have. There was also an hypothesis on the fact that taking drug at young age would have great chances to cause social integration problems at a later age because of this fact.
This was a British study and I read it somewhere around 2000, so if any of you have read that article and still has a reference to give, it would be welcomed. |

if your young, stay away from drugs period. go hold hands with a girl, when I was 13 that was the biggest rush there was, and if that grows old grab a boob, stay the fuck away from the dope kids, it's not a toy. and this is not a game, |

The article on marijuanna not allowing your brain to grow properly really sounds like complete propaganda... haha maybe it is true, we've discovered the fountain of youth.
I wouldn't worry about it though Frank, I got your name right didn't I? I started using drugs when I was 12... I'm perfectly fine now. I think it has more to do with how prepared you are mentally to use drugs. I know alot of 20-30 year olds who are no where near mentally mature enough to even be given fucking placebos. Mise À Jour » Bad_Chemistry a écrit sur Wed 16 Aug, 2006 @ 1:42am To awnser your question better, Physically I'm in the best shape of my life. Last week I did an endurance run contest type thing with my cousin who has been working out / training for tripple letter soccer for the past 2-3 years. I'm a heavy pot smoker... and I outran him. He practically blacked out trying to keep up.
Emotionaly... I'm probably more stable now then before I did drugs. At 11-12 I was like seariously bi-polar or something. I also had a horrible temper. Now I'm alot calmer and I don't suffer from depression spells anymore.
I'm feeling creative right now.. |

I think it's not only the age, but the amount of stuffs you're taking.
If you're 15 but take 1/2 pill a year, I don't think that changes your brain too much. But if you do 15 pills every weekend... Tu vas avoir l'air de quoi dans 10 ans? Tsé, du monde qui consomment intelligemment, je les trouve plus mature que du monde qui se défoncent complètement à chaque fin de semaine, peu importe l'âge.
I'm feeling cthulhu's tentacles right now.. |

agreed, but 15 is no age to start playing Russian roulette, with the way the love drug has transformed into a party cocktail I don't think anyone should be doing pills, Ecstasy was at first given to couples going through marriage counseling and solders in wars who were going through shell shock, or post traumatic stress disorder as it's called now, but that was long long ago, I have been raving for long enough to know the good from the bad, I don't do pills, I only do MDMA, not MDA, not MA, I test my own stuff and if it's not what I want. it gets flushed. honestly, I don't think anyone is ready at 15, I'd tell you to wait till your 20, even 25 to start with that kind of stuff. it's not for everybody even if they wish it was.
thats what I think. |
