I was wondering if anyone on this board has ever tried DMT before, and if so whether or not they'd be willing to share their experiences via post.

hehee funky random stuff has happened to me before.
i smoked dmt in the rainforest of the vancouver island. it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
first, the big high didn't last too long, about 30-40 minutes (time is hard to tell while astral projecting).
it was amazing, i thought i was in a cartoon (being a little faerie or someting) and i could actually feel the earth breathing, many weird visuals (such as characters). me and my friends would just sit in silence, staring at the huge rainforest trees and stroking the moss. i could hear a deep tribal beat in my head all day long after that. i don't know if it would have been different if i hadn't been taking three hits of liquid lsd25 at the same time, but that was probably the best trip of my life.

ive always been interested in trying it...
but when i actually had the chance...

i passed it up.

from what ive read, dmt can alter your life completely. i know all psychoactives can, but ive heard stories of people being haunted for years by their tryps...

i may eventually try dmt.
but not until it is the proper time, place and most importantly mindstate.

DMT is still a 7th circuit drug. it's too bad you have all these personal hang ups about ketamine, OP, because it allows for some serious psychonautics.

quanneur: are you sure mixing k and dmt would be a good idea?

i know i would want all my wits about me when dealing with something of this magnitude...

and unfortunately K does the opposite.

apparently anti~depressants amplify the dmt high as well... but as i said in my previous post... this is already serious business... which im not sure im ready for yet... and to amplify it seems a little much to me.

maybe thats just me in my old age... lol.

ok
you people

WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU MIX ANY DRUG WITH DMT?

Do you people not understand that DMT is by far the most potent, most intense hallucinogeic chemical known to man? And ontop of that, you want to combine a mind numbing drug with a mind expanding drug. I dunno man, I don't think you people should be doing drugs at all, you obviously don't know you're shit.

DMT takes no more than a minute to thrust you into your peak high. Your reality is almost instantly replaced with a new one. I really don't think combining a substance like K, which weakens you is the smartest idea anyone has ever had. You will need all your mental strength to be able to interpret and consume the aprox hour long trip.

Man, most people here act the same way I did when I was doing PCP, stupid and ignorant and didn't know shit even though they thought they did.

hmm...

The reason I asked is because it is the partial subject of one of the books I'm currently reading, called "fire in the brain". It's like a collection of this professors case studies and experimentations with drugs.

This one case study was about a women who'd taken DMT in the sixties and decided to revisit her special little place in the seventies. She had a really powerfull trip and heard god speaking to her through chimes. Only thing is, eventually she started to hear the chimes even when she was sober, classified as audible hallucinations. She was a great painist that could no longer play because her hearing was plagued by these "messages" from god, in the form of chimes.

interesting...

who said anything about mixing DMT with ketamine?! it really seems like some of you are just searching for any reason at all to take a holier-than-thou tone with others. the level of preachiness from you and others on this board is almost frightening.

instead of waving your finger in other people's faces, why don't you EDUCATE YOURSELF by actually following the link I posted? to say things like ketamine is mind-numbing and not mind-expanding is complete BS and shows a deep misunderstanding of the drug and psycho-exploration altogether. ketamine is regarded by serious psychonauts (including Dr's Tim Leary and Terrence McKenna) to be the most mind expanding drug available to man, but of course you have to know how to use it. i'm sorry that you are an irresponsible fool who gets himself addicted to PCP or ketamine or whatever, but just because you are a retarded fuck doesn't mean everyone else is.

so, like i said before, DMT is a 7th circuit drug and ketamine is an 8th circuit drug. if you want to know what this means that go back and follow that link. furthermore, there is another isomer of DMT called AMT that is quite addictive and in fact sometimes this is sold as DMT. suggesting that it's safe to explore with DMT and not ketamine is ridiculous.

i find it almost funny that the same people who criticize ketamine can suggest DMT as a mind-expanding experience. talk about stupid and uninformed...

Let my stance be clear,

I am in no way endorsing nor encouraging anyone to venture as far as to take DMT, people make their own decisions for themselves... I was just wondering whether or not anyone had, and if so, what their experiences had been...

Furthermore, I agree with your post, there is a ton of literature available on DMT much like many other substances, there is always the option of utilizing this information to benefit one's own personal knowledge...

quanner got it right. Lots of people here on ravewave have this incredible need to feel hollier-than-thou and look for any reason to bitch or to try and force their own beliefs on drug use where it isn't wanted. Sure people can care for their friends and be worried, but after a while it's just fucking anoying and pisses people off a lot.

quanner wrote: "DMT is still a 7th circuit drug. it's too bad you have all these personal hang ups about ketamine, OP, because it allows for some serious psychonautics."

although looking at it now i understand what you ment, but you cant deny that it sounded like you were implying that ketamine can enhance the dmt experience.

(please define psychonautics, i dont know this word or what it means.)

this is an interesting article full of interesting THEORIES...

BUT i have a hard time taking it too seriously, when it ends an interesting argument with...
"This is why so many pot-heads are STAR TREK freaks and science fiction adepts."

the article is full of interesting thoughts, well worded paragraphs, and large complicated words to make it sound overly intelligent/complicated.

BUT it is all just speculation.

and honestly, to say that ketamine(a drug which is proven to burn holes in your brain and is classified as a disassociate, literally meaning it disassociates your body from your brain) is an enhancing drug is total garbage.

though when we damage our brains we learn to adapt with the damage, which is learning...
so in a manner of speaking its enhancing us.

it is still greatly damaging your brain and body.
so i find the concept that ketamine can make you "smarter," offensive.

Now before everyone gets on my case for being overly opinionated, this is only in response to the article.

i have am fully aware that everyone is free to make what ever choices they like, either good or bad... thats our right, and our only TRUE freedom.

And im aware that my constant bitching about drug use/abuse doesnt really help since in the end its always up to You if you do drugs. but i can still have my opinions, and try to make a difference. and i refuse to keep my mouth shut about a terrible drug like ketamine when there are articles like this one floating around.

Ketamine is very addictive.
and is proven to burn holes in your brain.

it may be a spiritual drug for some people.
and if thats your kick. then go for it!

but to argue that it “expands your mind” is ridiculous…

It damages your mind. You may learn to adapt to the damage which makes you learn…

But you are still damaging your brain.

To finish off...

~I dont think im holier~then~anyone.

~and though that article is very interesting, i would not say that reading it is a method of EDUCATING YOURSELF...

If im not allowed to bitch about drug use...
then im not allowing people to support it.
at least without hearing my bitching! *lol*

(quanner, i dont have anything against you, but your last comment pissed me off! *lol*)

*sir~rants~alot strikes again*

Quanneur's comment was wise enough to be respected. He never talked about mixing K with DMT,he just talked about the dangers of this strong psychedelic that is DMT....It's not the same type of buzz as k and pcp and stuff like that, but still its a chemical drug that comes along with some risks when taken...Yoy should take dmt seriously 'cos it's an experience that requires preparation and that changes one's perceptions and visions for a lifetime....Don't mess with the elements..... Richard, i think your comments are always clever, for real.Full respect !

DMT is a psychedlic
Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic

If you read up on the effects of ketamine, you will see all the classic effects of an anaesthetic. Slowed down time, loss of motor control, ect...

So basically, you want to take a drug, which throws you into a whole brand new world, then combine it with a drug which dissociates you from the new world.
