Macs are fabulous and awesome. I speak as a PC user for over 20 years (starting with the Tandy 1000 in '87!). Last year I switched to Mac and I regret nothing. Do it. Do it.

Canadians are the exact same thing as Americans. There are practically zero differences aside from what our money looks like and where our tax dollars specifically go. Culturally we are indistinguishable save for minute insignificant details.

Canadians, however, do have a horrible and potentially dangerous habit of ignorantly believing they are better than Americans, which ironically makes them more like the Americans they claim to hate. Depending on your point of view, Canadians and Americans are both equally amazing people, or equally shitty people.

Say that next time! You're saying something totally true here, but you initially lost me cuz you sounded arrogant. Owning a lable is owning a money lending business in the 2Ks. That's why hip hop gangsters open more lables than whorehouses these days.

I left medicine for arts. Very hard choice to make because I was bascially set up for life, and jumped into the least secure field imagineable Now I have a day job (teaching) which frees me up to do what I like the most (film making). I've made it to a point where I'm sponsored to make film and have my first film in development, but I'm still not free to quit...yet. I've been burning the midnight oil and juggling 2 careers and maybe it'll pay off, but that's really not why I'm doing it. Maybe I'll just get exhausted some day....

RepentTokyo: Are you saying that the Hardsteppers is a bad choice? You clearly must have things totally worked out, if I'm reading you right.

No offense to anyone, but the girls here are fugly, THEY made me buy WoW. Everything is fucking expensive too, like it would cost me minimum 10$ just to get downtown and back, muchless finding a bar and trying to make friends. So I asked myself "why spend hundreds of dollars trying to show a fugly girl I'm successful when I can masturbate and actually enjoy myself for 3 months?"

Don't say you weren't warned! ;)

There is shit to do in TO and there is a lot to be gained from actually knowing someone from TO. Take up Urban Exploration. You can do it solo, plus the largest subculture of UrbEx is in Toronto.

There girls are fugly and there's no getting around it.

But I think you just turned to crack to fight boredom. WoW is crack. And people who use it are crack whores.

The main problem is in Quebec. I fucked up my ankle on thursday and spent 8 hours in the waiting room, and was never even given a tylenol. I appreciate that an ankle fuck is pretty low on the triage scale, but back in Ontario, a bad wait is 4 hours for a similar injury. Quebec's ministry of health has driven away all the QC trained doctors who leave to practice in Ontario or the US.

Although, if I go into a hospital for my usual athesma attack or alcohol poisoning, I go right in with no waiting. Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and BC are all similar in their wait times for those problems. Or system is okay, considering it's free, but the boomers will drain it of all its purpose. We're fucked.

Going to the Beer Store TM and the LCBO are one o the biggest adjustments you'll have to make.. People in TO hate the Habs so finding a bar that plays games is pretty difficult. The TO girls that you meet in MTL are pretty cool. The uncool ones never leave TO so you're most likely to meet them there. If you want to stay involved with underground music scenes, Spadina between King or Queen is close to most venues, record stores, and rent is cheaper due to the SARS outbreak.

I saw a boarded up church around St. Cat and St. Denis. Looked great! We have crowbars, but I'd prefer to climb...That way it's "Entering" without the "breaking"! Take me to your church. I'll find a way in.

I also found about a block of burned out places in Point St. Charles.
