Your journey has lead you a long way from home, you have finally came out of the dark forest you have been lost in for you don't remember how long. You are in a meadow, the air is calm and the breeze soft. You continue onward to towards the only mountain in sight, but you know it is so far away. Overhead in the distance you notice what seems signs of civilization. You arrive at the village and notice that there is not one is sight.

Tired, you stop at the fountain in the middle of the crossroads. You hear moving, you turn around and notice a strange looking figure. He looks at you at asks you with a tint of fear in his voice.

- "Howdy stranger, uhm, may i ask where you come from, you look so strange to us, the entire village is completely scared out of the minds."
You look around and notice shades and faces peering out the window.

You explain the person that you come from a land far away where war and famine have left the land desolate.
As you tell your tale, more and more villagers come out to see you and to your surprise you notice everyone is made out of candy.

A few moments later, you notice a strange womanly figure comes out of in front of you greets you.
« Hi, my name is princess Bubblegum, and all these are the candy citizens of Candy kingdom. »

She yells out some strange word you barely comprehend and suddenly a loud bang goes off, glitter fall from the sky and everyone is yelling:

« WELCOME TO KANDILAND! »

From Infectious Mixing, to Multiple Anthems, and to recently being awarded the title of ‘Best Hardcore DJ’ for the 5th consecutive year – Gammer has risen from practically nothing to being one of the most successful Hardcore DJ’s of our Generation.

Discovered by Dougal at a young age, it wasn't long before the pair came up with their first anthem ‘Fires in the Sky’ which was quickly snapped up by the legendary ‘Raverbaby’ and rapidly cementing the duo into the Hardcore hall of fame. The next few years saw Gammer coming into his own with songs such as ‘Let it Go’ and ‘A New Feeling’, a track which went on to win “Best Track of the Year” at the Hardcore Heaven Awards.
Not only known for his production, Gammer is also well known for pushing the boundaries of DJ’ing within the music. From quick mixing and double-dropping to more daring routines such as scratching and Beat Juggling, right up to ‘out of the box’ routines such as Mixing and Making beats live on his iPhone!

Gammer is also known for working heavily alongside Heavyweight MC ‘Whizzkid’ – Working with a potent synergy in the studio as well as on stage – coming up with hits such as ‘We Are The Vampires’, ‘Jump’ and more recently ‘We Killed The Rave’ – a track which broke many boundaries and became the first track to feature an MC and still win ‘Best Track of the Year’ at the Hardcore Awards.

Avant de me lancer dans les remerciements je tiens à dire : WOW!!! C’était pas démentiel comme party oui ou non?! :P Les rumeurs comme quoi le Hardcore est mort à Montréal ont été sérieusement démenties vendredi dernier! Hehe…

En mon nom personnel, représentant TMS* mais aussi au nom de mes partenaires Julien Daigneault et Eric Beaurivage pour Datagram Radio, Pola Cormier pour PinkPopo et Francis Poitras entant que promoteur indépendant je voudrais remercier chaleureusement nos invités d’honneurs Lenny Dee et cette bête de scène nommé DJ Sharkey pour leur performance toute deux exceptionnelle sans oublier nos valeureux talents locaux et extérieurs pour leur participation.

Before I go with all the thank you’s and all, just need to say HOLY SHIIIT!!! :D Was that a great party or what?! ;) Who said Hardcore was dead in Montreal?? This myth definitely got busted last Friday nite! Hehe

Gagnants du concours de DJs Heroes vs. Vilains

Datagram Radio, Pink Popo et TMS* Montréal sont fiers de dévoiler les deux gagnants de son concours de DJs organisé dans le cadre du plus gros rave hardcore de l'année au Québec, Heroes vs. Vilains!.

Dans la catégorie des Héros, le padawan dub se détache du lot avec une sélection UK Hardcore accrocheuse très orientée dancefloor. Une danse frénétique à 170 BPM vous attend avec ce DJ débarqué expressément de la capitale nationale pour l'occasion.

Du côté des vilains, la jeune DJ de Québec Dopamyne remporte la palme de la méchanceté avec un mix bad ass d'une précision chirurgicale. Elle promet de vous balancer un Mainstream Hardcore lourd et agressif en plein où ça fait mal!

Les gagnants ouvriront leur salle respective à 22 h le 22 juillet à Montréal.

Le comité organisateur tient à souligner la qualité du travail des 13 DJs ayant soumis un démo. Les choix n'ont pas été faciles à faire! Notez que les DJs intéressés seront contactés pour venir chauffer le plancher de danse des prochaines soirées Hardcore montréalaises.


Heroes Vs Villains DJ Contest Winners

Datagram Radio, Pink Popo and TMS* Montreal are very proud to announce the name of the two contest winners of the Heroes Vs Villains DJ Contest!

In the light and Uplifting corner for the Heroes Room, from Quebec City… *dub* stood out of the lot with a wicked selection of Dancefloor UK Hardcore and will sure make quite a sensation with the crowd!

In the dark and bad ass corner for th Villains Room, also from Quebec City… Lovely DJette *Dopamyne* has proven us hands down that you cant judge a book by its cover! Careful, folks… her crunchy beats and flawless mixes can potentially rip you a new one if not careful enough lol!!

Both contest winners will be opening in style their respective rooms at 10pm sharp on July 22nd!


Me and my fellow promoters would also like to thank all 13 DJs who participated to this contest! Many many new talents are waiting to be discovered, let me tell you… the choice was very hard to make but please note that your turn may come sooner than you think for our future events! Hehe ;)

to be aware of every single penny spent/earned and if you play your cards right some profit can be made.

but one mustnt get into promotion and be aiming for profit upfront though... that geting into promotion for wrong reasons, imo.

my philosophy on party money: better off to consider your investment as a direct loss and again, if the cards are well played all the way thru, profit can be made and will be a MUCH sweeter bonus.

First of...Seriously some ppl badly need to chill their moule about what just happened back there...

Despite all the probable bad judgement calls that could've been made, flaws of all kind in the organisation & logistics and that jazz... Promoters CANNOT be blamed for EVERYTHING! Of course in the other hand they bear huge responsibilities: To ensure the safety of the event attendants and the good continuity of said event and so on, etc...

The event-planning business is def no rocket science (that i know first-hand)... HOWEVER, series of unpredictable events and special circumstances, etc can result into situations like last nite and those variables simply CANNOT be planned ahead, no matter how bullet-proof the plans could be! Thats part of the Challenge one signs up for when they decide to throw a party.

One must be either dumb or blind or live on a cloud in Lalaland to not grasp this simple concept and simply go ahead and lynch a promoter over this kind and stuff * dont get me wrong, though some promoters (but very few nowadays, thankfully) really do deserve to have their ass kicked!

Just this one last thing for the records before anyone starts throwing rocks at me...all thats been mentioned above was said in all neutrality and goodfaith!

Promoters have their wrongs, but from what i heard, so does the attendees!
side note: Throwing fucking glass bottles on the road has to be the single DUMBEST move ive heard've in very long time! way to go Ninjatard...You wanted attention, you got it.


Anyway that was my 2 cents. </rant>
