Little Otik .. aka Otesánek (2000) by Jan Svankmajer. He's an amazing director from Czech Republic, and has been using stop-motion claymation mixed with live action for over 30 years.
other great films by him are Faust, Conspirators of Pleasure, Alice and various collections of his short films, like "Food" and others.. seriously trippy stuff!

[ karagarga.com ] is a great place for odd, independant, rare and foreign cinema.. basicly, anything not considered mainstream. Just last week i found 8 amazing oldschool funk compilations, a twisted japanese cartoon called "cat soup" - kinda like a dark version of hellokitty on acid and other things of interest.
they had open registration for awile, might still be open, i'm not sure.

Oh.. and regarding ichi the killer.... i rented it at the videostore and started watching it with a friend, only to realize that they cut out ALL THE SEMEN.. and Close up NIPPLE SLICING.. and a whole lot of other stuff was missing. point being.. Make Sure You Are Watching The UNCUT version!!

TITS! .. nice list- "the Fantastic Planet" is a great trippy french animation from '73, accompanied by very cool dark vibed funk. it's good stuff.
and Sebastian, i couldn't agree more. i think people mostly watch american movies cause those are the only movies they see previews for. you have to go out of your way to find the good stuff..

my 2 favorite films at the moment are 'Oldboy' - a seriously classy, stylish, sick fuckin film from Korea, 2003. and the other being Svidd Neger- a crazy horror, lynchian, comedy musical from Norway, 2003- very surreal

i've been having the same problems trying to install reason on my friends computer, i've 1 more thing to try next time we meet. if it works out i'll let you know what i did.
i've never had problems installing reason on mac.. but yeah, the mac-cracker people are nowhere near as fast at cracking difficult apps as the pc-folk.

..looking forward to it. i wonder what it will sound like this time~ they're all so different
