Ghetto bass got a lot of support from big DJ's and reached the number 1 spot on Beatport. The track also got picked up and reviewed by the guys at [ pitchfork.com ] and as a result of this Twist gained huge respect from some of the scene's most influential artists. The Hotline EP was the 1st time Torqux & Twist collaborated together on a full EP. It was released on Rottun Records comprised of 6 tracks. All of which reached the Top 10 in the Beatport chart, including 'Bare Nite' which reached number 2. '‘Bare Nite’ has had big support from Radio 1 Dj Jaguar Skills and was also used in Basement Jaxx Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. After this success Torqux was asked to do a mini mix for Jaguars BBC Radio 1 show and guest mix and interview for BBC 1xtra Mista Jam. Jaguar used ‘Bare Nite’ on his latest mix CD ‘Toolroom Knights’ on Toolroom Records. Jaguar has even used the drums from the track for edits in his sets such as Isley Brothers – 'Summer Breeze'.‘Heavy Rain’ was used in a trailer for the film Detective Dee The 4 track EP entitled ‘Unleashed’ on Rottun recordings (Excisions Label) is their newest work. Two of the tracks reached the top 10 on beatport with the other two hitting the 11th and 12th spot. The EP also stayed in the top 100 for over a month. A teaser video of the EP was posted on youtube which hit number 14 most viewed musician’s video the day it was uploaded. The EP gained support from the likes of Skrillex, 16bit, Excision, Downlink, Datisk, Chasing Shadows and BBC 1xtra Mista Jam. Torqux & Twist have had plays on Radio 1 and 1Xtra shows including Mista Jam, Mary Ann Hobbs, Pete Tong, Bobby Friction, Huw Stephens, Jaguar Skills, Crissy Criss, Charlie Sloth, Annie Nightingale, BBC Introducing, aswell as Kiss FM. They have gained support from the likes of Basement Jaxx, Skrillex, Tommy Lee, Jaguar Skills, Mista Jam, Chasing Shadows, Borgore, 16Bit, Excision, Downlink, Datsik, Nero, Funtcase, Bar 9, Modestep, Trolley Snatcha, Jay Cunning, Reid Speed, The Freestylers, Ctrl-Z, Vent, Far Too Loud, Freq Nasty, Riskotheque, Marchmellow, Stenchman, High Rankin, Rob Sparx, Dj Switch, Skism, Jimi Mistry, Document One, Culprate, Cookie Monsta ... Torqux & Twist have performed in clubs and at festivals all over the world this last year laying waste to the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, the US and Canada (Missing Montreal).
