So okay, we're giving you exactly 8 days to recover from your new years madness, cause on January the 9th, we give you one of the first and loudest parties in town. It will be set in the intimate space of MyPlace, a hot new spot that holds events for all of the hottest talents Montreal's nightlife and electronic scene has to offer. Not your typical Montreal party-place. This is Nidal and one of Ottawa's hardest hitters, Ashley Gauthier will be setting the room ablaze with the rawest and most mind-bending sets around right now. Both DJs prove their talents within their sweat infused productions and sets. Easily one of the most under-rated producers in Montreal, This is Nidal is no amateur when it comes to selecting the proper sounds. Whether it's his distinct style of production, or his intricate detail for creating sets that leave you baffled beyond imagination, Nidal is a true craftsman at his art. Moving to Montreal in 2007 (not knowing a single person in the city) to study Sound Engineering, he has come a long way by gaining the respect of Montreal's best underground DJs and producers. He validates his talent with his frightening ability to piece together tracks that leave you in awe, and sets that shake your soul and caress your ears. But we'll leave you to be the judge of that! After paying his dues on the decks in his hometown of Ottawa, he felt the need to cover new ground. A fresh new face in Montreal, Ashley is a master of high energy sets. Coincidentally, Ashley came here to study at the same school Nidal attended, a few years before. A resident at Ottawa's finest afterhours, Sunrise, he quickly found his way into the Montreal underground scene. With some help from his close friend and fellow DJ, B'Ugo, Ashley caught the ear of club-goers when he played one of his intense sets at Club Academy under the company of the cities sickest party holders "Deepsy". Since then he has continued to perfect his style, gigging back and forth between cities in eastern North America, including New York and Toronto. He also had the opportunity to play in England (Ocean Rooms, Brighton) as well as a private mountain-side party in Italy. 2010 will un-doubtabley be an eventful year for this brash fellow.
