| Info: | RESIDENT'S NIGHT at Surface Afterhours --- DJ RECKLESS GIRL (Toronto) - Originally born in Italy but of Polish descent, DJ Reckless Girl (a.k.a. Aleksandra Ola Checinski) who now resides in Toronto Canada was first introduced to house music at the tender age of 16. Her main influence came when she discovered Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan and Steve Porter. Her desire to create her own similar style lead her in purchasing her first set of turntables the following year. Eventually, Reckless Girl's music style evolved to her present sound of vocal, peak-hour electro house with minimal funky/progressive influences. 2004 was the starting point that saw Reckless Girl rise up in the DJ sphere. She gained massive recognition after winning the iFX DJ Competition held at Toronto hot spot Pulse Nightclub. This was the foundation that lead her to bookings at various clubs in south-western Ontario including Coco's in Grand Bend, Fabrik, The Rivoli, Sugar and Beba in Toronto, Revolution in Kitchener (where she acquired a monthly residency) and London's Phoenix Nightclub where she was broadcasted live-to-air on 103.1 Energy FM. Her efforts paid off when she was given the opportunity to play at one of the world's most renowned nightclubs, System Soundbar (Toronto).
