Like, either you study, or you party, but not both in the same time... :S So I can't go pawtying every week end since I have homeworks and stuffs to do. It's hard to be a nerd sometimes. ;) |

My day began with a little apprehension - There were car issues and I wasn't sure if I was able to get a ride to the party. Luckily things worked out and our two cars from Ottawa hit the road. We rendevoused at a Dunkin Donuts/Burger King place, got some food and used the restrooms. We loaded up into our cars and got ready to get back on the road. Pulling out of the parking lot, Marc floored it, hit the handbrake, and pulled a really nice 180 degree tailslide. It really was a beautiful slide, although when the car came to a stop, we were directly head to head with a SDQ cop car which has just finished filling up at the pump. We kinda just sat there waiting for about 45-60 seconds ("do we go, do we let him go? quick! cover up the beer bottles in the cup holders!"). As soon as Marc started pulling out, he lit us up. Start now frantic shoving random items into socks and doing the best to cover up beer bottles. The cop was friendly (and she was kinda cute too haha..), checked Marc's liscense, and let us go. We were relieved at our good luck. We got back on the freeway and proceeeded towards Montreal. We were all in great spirits, and Marc was driving kinda fast (130-140). I told him, "go the speed limit! They're probably gonnna radio the cops up the freeway that there's two cars full of ravers. Well five minutes after that we blew past two cop cars sitting on the median. (oh, shit..) They instantly lit up their lights and pulled onto the freeway. We pulled into the right lane, and they pulled our friends over. heh.. We finally made it to the venue, the lot was full, the pre-party euphoria at it's peak! When I went to get in line they told us they weren't nearly ready, so we went over to McDonald's. It was full of party kids. We hung out there for a bit then went back. The line by now was around the building. Everyone was cold but seemed to be in good spirits. All the staff/security were really friendly. The vibe was right there from the start. The beats were great, I saw some other people from Ottawa I knew, and met alot of new people. The biggest problem I have at Montreal parties is the language gap (I don't speak french) - But usually with a little effort (or someone to translate) it can be worked around. I loved the people drawing on people with hilighters. Some of them were really talented! They did my arms and my chest and did a really good job. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. I've been to parties all over Northern California, other places in the US, and Ottawa, and I must say Montreal parties are hands down the best when it comes to the vibe. Too bad I won't be able to get to any more Montreal parties anytime soon. Big ups to the promoters, the staff, the DJ's, and everyone that contributed to this amazing night, including you Montreal partykids. :P |
