Evereyone kept askimng me about the shooting. they wanted to know if i knew anyone that was hurt. Frist i have never been to that club and that is not a rave in my mind at all. Once again it shows us what a crazy world we live in. I have not seen any violents at a rave in all the 4 years or so i have going...i don't want it to start either.

no one died, somehow -how does that happen when nine shots are fired, and six people are hit at close range. I guess its called fucking good luck, and a shitty gun. or both.
also, in the terribly shitty news of the weekend, somebody jumped off a building at a little loft party that maysr and toltech were playing at, and is in really bad shape. this sucks ass.
security, all that will help, but ultimately all of this crap will happen wherever: rock concerts, people fucking around in parks, on street corners, wherever humans that don't know each other very well gather together, there's bound to be incidents eventually.
and don't always assume it's either bikers or black people. this is, first of all, pretty tedious territory for anyone to speak on, but, a)the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive and b) there are many other variations and permutations possible here: the club MAY be owned by bikers, who fucking knows? anyone? speak up.. surely bikers have something to do with it on some level, however far removed, maybe selling drugs to the crew that sells them in the club, maybe even further removed. Or maybe they straight out own it. Or maybe they sanction the club as territory to hells, or maybe its not their territory. maybe various bikers were fighting over the territory. If the club was biker owned why would anyone have to settle a drug-related dispute within the club? surely rival gangs/bikers would know not to infringe on the territory, and surely bouncers would search rival gang/biker-members accordingly? there are a lot of questions that none of us, I surmise, know the answers to. The bottom line is: what the fuck is this going to mean for clubs, for raves, for the industry. Or will it create a much needed split in the industry between Laval and Montreal, or better yet, between "organized", "legal" afterhours clubs and "underground", "illegal" raves... Okay I really have to shut up now. As usual, it's really late, I need to sleep and for some reason my brain is kicking into states of rapid mentalic dementia. doh. i hate it when this happens. Time to assume yogaistic self-relaxation schema.

laval has a law that no clubs can be open between 3am and 8am, it just isn't enforced very much. But technically redlite is 'illegal' and has been fined 3 times so far I think.

the problem with security at a biker owned club is that the ppl with the guns are the ones hiring security...
