How humble of you. That was such an apt analogy, comparing your DJing skills to that of a surgeon.

Told you this before, but how 'bout a bit of humility, wanker?

Sigh.
I'm feeling chaotic! right now..

i'm sorry, i'm all for non sequiturs, but that just doesn't make any sense at all, since when do you 'defeat' someone in a 'conversation' maybe a debate but a conversation???

"Our guns
We shot them in the things we said
Ah we didn't need no bullets
Cos we rely on some words instead
Kill someone in argument
Outwit them with our brains
And we'd kill ourselves laughing
At the funny things we'd say"

I'm not sure of what Bliss is so proud about. I passed in front of l'Assommoir after a parade and it fucking look like a small restaurant, in fact it is if you look at their website.

Wow, look at the events they got...

Wait...wait I need a break, laughing so much...It hurts.

I know why Bliss is so angry and trolling us: Bliss WAS a "super star dj" in the electronic scene. I guess the popularity of Psytrance ruined his career but his shitty attitude, making him bad publicity also played a role.

Yep...and Oh, the micropenis anger therapy is that way-------------->
I'm feeling no vacations :-( right now..

Lol...so they have live music on sundays so what?

Its a nice little place, the foods good and they have a nice big room in the back and a nice soundsystem so keep laughing. The place is actually bigger than Passeport or Blizzarts and much nicer. They also pay well and they let me play what I want.

I actually played at the one down in old Montreal tonight and it was good times, I played every thing from old motown to booty breaks, it was packed with women having fun (6 to 1 ratio girl/guy) & some of the staff I know from the club/rave scene so its always a pleasure playing there.

You should come by next friday I'll buy you a drink and we can have a laugh
I'm feeling sunshine right now..

Actually Motown and old funk IS the best music, if you haven't figured that out you're an idiot

Its where the majority of the breaks come from, the music YOU PLAY originally comes from funk

Without the funk drum n bass would not exist, its that simple.

Dude learn your history, everything started with funk, James Brown actually had the best breakbeats of all time, no one has even come close since then

Basically it went from funk, to sampled funk breaks leading to the birth hip hop, after which guys in the UK started playing what was essentially hip hop breaks but at a faster tempo which in turn lead to the birth of UK breakbeat, jungle and drum n bass evolved out of that style of breakbeat.

In fact most early dnb and even a lot of dnb today relies on ONE breakbeat created by the Amen brothers back in 1969 which is why I always find it amusing when local dnb djs slag funk records as being "old" and "irrelevant". They are essentially dissing themselves

Oh yeah, in case you havent seen this video, its a great illustation of the history of the amen break

And funk evolved from blues and blues was music of black slaves in the southern U.S, and slaves came from Africa in the 1800's therefore DnB is actually from Uganda in the 1800's
