dont forget mcdonalds sources a good deal of its beef from brazil, which is the #1 cause of rainforest destruction (cattle grazing)

also they use mature chicken which translates to spent egg laying hens (cheapest meat available)

Would you rather they use young baby chickens? It would be better to eat babies?

You sick fuck.

ugh. terrible. I forgot about that. destroying rainforest = the worst. not only the rainforest is going, but the tribes who live in it are getting shot by ranchers too. these remote tribes could just get "disappeared" so easily and nobody would be any the wiser

I feel bad for ever supporting it. I always found it odd - even as a kid - that the Toronto Zoo has several McDonald's restaurants on its property.

I don't know where it stands now, but that zoo has been ranked as one of the best in the world. I know a lot of people are opposed to zoos, but they don't seem to understand the reality. some animals are in such peril, that without these zoos breeding them in captivity, there will be literally none left in the wild within a few years. gone forever. at least this way, it serves as a Noah's Ark to one day re-introduce them to their natural habitat.

so the Toronto zoo has been very dedicated to saving critically endangered animals that live in the rainforest.. Sumatran tiger, for example. pretty shameless that they would partner up with McDonalds - sellouts

this isn't true...on either count. Its actually a huge load of bullshit.

The majority of Brazils farmland is on their bush and grass lands. Not the rainforest. The rainforest is actually super inefficient, and mostly consists of small scale farmers trying to get by, feed their family, and make a couple dollars. None of the rainforest stuff really gets exported.

Also, I'm pretty sure Mcdonalds goes out of their way to advertise that in Canada their beef is 100% Canadian.

So not from brazil. Rainforest beef doesn't get exported.

Get your facts straight. Stop slandering mcdonalds.

lol Canadian beef ... you really believe them? I mean, companies are known to do things like: have a Canadian distributor import meat, then buy it from them, 'cause now it's Canadian, since they bought it 'in Canada' ...

Like companies who promise all their shirts are made in the US, them oops, their tags show up in a sweat shop somewhere ...

Even it they've fixed up their bad habits, pandering to the consumer to keep making shitloads of money isn't gonna make up for years of bullshit.
I'm feeling you up right now..
