I got the impression he was saying it's only photos from ONE person, standardized and repetitive. I always want something different in party photos, don't know about you.
I'm feeling mischiveous right now..

yes i was saying photos from one person. I don't necessarily mind his pics once in a while... well apart from the narcissistic watermark .

For 1 party, I rather see 5-10 pics each from 6 different people than just 100 pics from 1 person.

@Korhal don't worry about hitting all the parties. There will be more.

QFT but I think the narcissistic paparazzi isn't interested in anyone else's opinions or suggestions because, well, that's what "artiste" who aren't very good at their craft do because god forbid someone would suggest something that would make you try new things and ultimately further and heighten said craft...

... but no. They prefer stalling at what their ideal of perfection is and dish out the same insipid crap ad vitam eternam until one day, when everyone stops taking interest, they change their methods to something that was suggested eons ago and refuted each and every time because it would be too amateurish of them to change their "proven method" and claim that no no, THEY came up with this variant themselves and they hold the original rights to it.

I think I'm going to bookmark this and use it in a future thread in a few months or years from now.

Like I mentioned earlier (if it's even still there) What do people like yourselves want to see more of from party pics? I always try to get all the deco I can. I try to do a full sweep of the parties I go to and take pics of it all. I don't normally see those so I started doing it about a year ago. Any tips/ideas are welcome so I can get something that's not standardized.

Well, you're off to a good start. Seriously. I'm no photographer but as someone who likes to browse through party pics, I ( like a lot of people I'm sure ) like a series of photographs that will convey visually the highlights of the party : the punters there of course but also pics of the deco, lighting, the visuals ( if any ) and also of those who helped make this party alive and possible : the staff. It's always nice to see pics of the coat check girls, the DJs playing, the promoters and even those tending the door. I like to see pics of what I missed if I didn't attend. And what you see when you do attend is everything I just mentioned. Obviously, we don't need pics of the bathrooms. :)

Filling your SD card of just people at parties is redundant, easy and downright boring because, like I've said so many times before, that makes your pics interchangeable. If 90% of your pics feature just people in the crowd, how can you tell what party that was ? It could be any party at this point. Combining these pics with pics of all the things I mentioned above, not only do you sort of tell the story visually, you have a much greater reference to know what oarty it was based on deco and setting.

Honestly, that's MY point of view but I'm sure it's shared by a lot more people than those who prefer to look at an incessant stream of pics of people taking by so-called professional photographs.
