it wasnt trying to loose you in the geektalk , i spend all my time trying to figure ahead of people so once im call to resolve aproblem i know what steps to be done,

in a few years i saw more compagny destroying computers than people themselves. i saw one update of java completely messing things up , i saw msn services creating hidden directories whereas in the past it didnt , i saw new ways that where ment to make things better but in the end failing at bigger scale, esp microsoft witch each failing of their services (mainly msn live messenger) happenning at the same time as their new os releases , it started with xp(veto almost all previous windows version to then end up in the same line as them), then vista (veto xp and all ) and now serven , but dont worry vista might work for a year or two , i should read their licence agreement , but as soon as they stop supporting it , you can bet your ass they will try to make it trash material , and claim its a security issue.

bare in mind they own the patent , meaning they can change anything they want as they want even if they end up voiding your licence by sleigh of hand. its how the 21st century rolls. computer got too good they had to take the control back.

and in the meantime more ppl are shiting things up from elsewhere, making this the world's biggest and unproovable but yet very fucking probable scam looking at how the puzzle pieces looks on the table a mm from each other.

if only i had a camera attached to my glasses 24/7 ...
I'm feeling "god is(i)n`the tv" right now..

ya it's just that I've had that djrecoil at hotmail dot com address since I started, so I'm stickin with it. the spam blocking does indeed suck though. like.. 100% failure rate.. every single spam email address I've sent to my "block sender" list lately still gets through. well done, hotmail ...

You know that weird pop up you get sometimes from keygene websites that says "you have to scan your computer now" and won't let you just close it? I accidently pressed on “yes” by pressing the “enter” on my keyboard too many times and those problems started right after that.

Now, when I get that message, I just press the “ctrl-alt-del” and close all Firefox windows immediately. Bleh.

yup.. I'm gonna back up some crucial music files and then reformat. it's actually much better now than it was when the viruses first attacked. I couldnt get on the net at all, at first. and then once I could get back on, it wouldnt let me search anti-trojan virus websites. and in the middle of the night while I'd be sleeping, it would suddenly start blaring audio of Japanese infomercials, even without any windows open. really creepy and detrimental to one's sanity

in my case I got em all from this one Youkko link. it was allegedly hosting this episode of Sopranos that I couldn't find online anywhere else.. I clicked the play button on the video.. link didn't work, and then all Hell broke loose. the weird thing is when I run malware and anti-virus programs on it, they all tell me there is no infection, when clearly there is at least one trojan hijacking my browser... blah

with my new laptop I am super super careful of what links I click

but even there ,the analitics on the net are so into what you do that they end up some days exploited and leaking half your computer away. ...

also a million other ways exist to skin a cat : images can jump to code (and im not talking about html links here im talking about binary attached to the image. looking as if the image was simply an image but instead of being a .2k gif the shit could end up as a 234m picute and im idiomizing here.

anyhow , if you want to know the real how , i suggest to register to an ethical hackers course. and not the new cheeze course at mcgill . that guy's a lamer. youd be surprised how it works and how a computer shoud remain for the most part : untrusted

i havent been on the msn network (live msngr or whatever) , so at this points it beats me cause honestly i dont give a half ass shit . i read exploits from images in blender even (yea the 3d program) causing stack overflow giving all sorts of candy aways , and a few years back i used pidgin and it acted as such . but seeing how microsorft pushed people to upgrade for no reason , that should at least ring a bell into you people in reading the terms of service and see how this bogus compagny should die and oughta go with open source alternatives or simply use other means of communication.

hmmmmmm. ok. well this much is clear, Cutterhead... you know waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy more about computers and internet than I do. lol. cuz most of what you said is Greek to me. so, I need your expertise.

if you could tell me some loophole I can use to defeat these recurring spam email addresses, that would be greatly appreciated =)

Yo can ether forward your hotmail to your gmail address and then create a label to resort it into a hotmail folder after. If hotmail doesn't allow forwarding gmail also offers a fetch service where it will lg n and get yor emails. After same steps apply. Won't help your messenger issues, but gmail spam filtering for email is the shit!
I'm feeling ez sessions monday wut! right now..

Then change it to djrecoil at gmail dot com, and send an email to all the important (ie trustworthy) people about the update. People still think they can reach me at r09u3 at hotmail but I can no longer brave all the spam to find their emails... it's like downloading an update. It's not the 90s anymore. Windows Live is still crappy old hotmail under the hood.

...AND you can still keep your hotmail address to use with MSN; you just post that on forums, and that way you don't have to worry about checking it, it's a spamdump, you keep your gmail account strictly to PMs to people you can trust!

I think you're gonna need to change the Windows Live/MSN password on it, the account has still been popping online all day.. It used to be that you needed Hotmail to use MSN when it first started, and your password was for the joint account, but a while ago MSN changed to letting people use other email addresses, so you've actually got to log into your Windows Live account to change the password, not just the hotmail account.. (totally not sure where you do that, though)
Update » Screwhead wrote on Tue Aug 31, 2010 @ 10:41pm
It's really not obvious; [ account.live.com ]

reset your password to something totally random gibberis (just roll your face on your keyboard or something) and it should be good to go!

changing password is one of the first step . blocking people second . but do this from a sandbox (write protected os or resintalled computer) then modify you address / user name if it still doesnt budge. but if all fails

try to dump spybot and spybot latest update on a usb key , same with latest mozilla & noscript plugin (you save the link destination instead of installing the program , it should end with .xpi)if you can manage to dump flash (impossible nowadays) and copy java as well on the key,

wipe the computer clean (mhdd), reinstall out of the net, check all automatic updates out, same in your services, . (dont kill the installer service until right after you installed msn once every thing is patched cuse it wont install if you do it before.) all this is suggested by tech normally so you dont have untrusted code that creeped in. treat everything as you have to be invisible.

once you are setup (yea i know backuping or that kind of proactive/preemtive thinking is a pain)
if you still get spam , then change the username or msn service all togeteher. cuse if it keep creeping tru its gonna certify the whole mechanism got hack at microsoft.

you could look into your live profile maybe set more privacy in your account. if thats possible..

other workaround would be to use a live version linux running konkeror or id ont remember the p2p messenger name , pidgin is there but pidgin is full of hole and i remember getting spam like you did till i stop using it all together.

to kill window services (on my computer > manage > services)
to kill the clock sync with microsoft servers (double click on the clock , in advance or something remove sync with microsoft servers)
to kill the updates (computer > updates > noupdate , also prevent mozilla or anybrowser from updating and dont forget to do java as well in your program files )
you can do drastic hardening by preventing windows to install program (service installer) normally only affects microsoft install , but could prevent new prog aswell tioll you activate the service again , kill the update as well,)

the secon tab of each service there you can prevent the service to load all together from your windows profile (not you user profile the installation profile this is really good)

but then again with all this . some ass somewhere could have escalated rights and wreak all sorts of new shit . but till you start fresh or sandbox we have no way of knowing if its an environment user escalation or some other code that creeped in.

then you would know more on where to stand on this.

btw what winblows or mashintosh are you using ?
and if you still have xp . did you use a crack to bypass the updater ? that again could be untrusted , and untill you

lowlevel format (not just format) and know for shure the machine is stock again.

hope it helps sorry if im not entering the core war to find the defective line of code , for me its easier to start fresh than spending days not knowing for shure if itll work

good lowlever > mhdd

actually imo that lowleverler suite is worth more than a thousand windows since it can even mark unreadable clusters as UNC and even scrub them , i used to keep this app for myself but seeing how the whole computer world is going down lately , might as well take more machine back from the graveyard so the mfg get a better taste of whats gonna happen to them if they dont start making machine for the people again , and not just play us with "planified uselessness"

You guys do know that Ufot plants viruses on peoples computers all the time (he's some user on here, also known as Dj Milton Fart)

So if you've had a problem with a virus lately he's probably the first person you should suspect
