so, make something new -- like Acid-Dub ... meanwhile, i'll be working on Speed-Psy ;) oooh ppl are sick of dubstep & wobble bass -- but we still have a million psy things going on (same kick), we still have fidget-house in every other club in MTL now (same shit), we still have tons of d'n'b (same riddim) -- but y'know, i like all of the above (except house XD ) and if there are enough ppl into all these genres to justify having alot of it, then STFU and let ppl listen to what they want ... 80% of every style of music is shit, but that other 20% is sooooooo good! =) peace |

Funny how I'm hearing a lot of dubstep fanatics saying : 1. they hate Drum & Bass when dubstep is nothing more than a 120 bpm D&B track ( try it and see for yourself ) 2. they hate Drum & Bass because it goes too fast. There's a solution for that : lay off the K. 2. it's innovative and original. Just like a 5 o'clock shadow, stupid shades, skin-tight black jeans and an American Apparel tee. Sowwy kids but I've yet to hear a winning argument for dubstep. The wobble ? You gots plenty of that in D&B, Fidget House, Speed Garage, you name it. It's been around for years. Nothing original there. The beats ? Erm, breaks anyone ? |

You're not gonna see me walk in a HHC event with a frown telling to everyone how much I think HHC is bullocks music. If you ask me what I think of it, yes I'll say that it is dildoes music IMO.
But then again we're in QC where people prefer to shit on things rather than trying to make something better or something they prefer on their own. Erm, breaks anyone ? dubstep revolves around a mix of programmed drums and sampled breaks (or sometimes just programmed drums) unlike breaks... which is breaks based (go figure)... it's swing pattern and half-step nature distiguishes it from drum'n'bass (except of course the new breed of half-step dnb we hear once in a while)... all in all, there is nothing quite like a dubstep beat... it doesnt re-invent the wheel... but it does have unique charecteristiques because of wide influences now I dont know what winning argument you want... I didnt know dubstep had to win at anything here either... if you don't like dubstep, I'm not going to argue you into liking it... but I am going to argue you out of saying unfounded bullshit about it though btw, I personnaly love and play both dnb and dubstep |
