i never especially notice myself but it's true that i often ear french quebecois say that english speakers are very loud in public.

i really don't care about the article i don't find it any injustice or whatever i think other peeps in this world deserve that attention like you know africa or simply the entire african diaspora etc..

it makes me laugh anot angers me when paris people that i know says that us quebecois we have a "quetaine" mass culture but for sure i always add that we are not all like that and that france love the cheese as much!

anyway....
I'm feeling hitched right now..

hehe ;) i don't care much about my bad accent many americans tell me its charming and the few peeps who really criticized me were thinking i was a russian or ukrainian something and were racist bigots not even aware that in the american constitution there is not even an official language.

On ne sait pas. Il a rien qui indique que le chat vient d'Angleterre ou pas
en passant he would be an English speaking cat. And no one is at all surprised about the talking cats

The only reason I am so obstinate on the Anglo vs English difference is simply because of the number of times I was corrected by québécois for calling them French when I first moved here. What's good for the goose as the saying goes

and for a talking French cat his english is quite impeccable

there's a difference between stereotypes or bad humor and racism. don't forget that this article is publish in a newspaper with a demographic..

since when everybody here is so politically correct and literal?

if i wrote an essay about me going to the park let say in brooklyn i would probably say that the latinos are playing soccer, that the hipsters are too hip to be hip and the old italian mamas are still at the corner store in pajama... that doesn't mean that i want to persecute them or hate them..

ps: no what i really hate is people in pajama in public. ha

There's nothing inherently racist about a stereotype.

it depends on context. some cliches are just true, like stuff that's factual present-day cultural upbringing .. if that's how they're raised, that's how it is -- others are based on cultural ignorance going back years and years, like stuff that was observed by stupid ppl in the late 1800s or something, and is still being thrown about today .. like that the darker the pigmentation of your skin, the less intelligent you are ...

so, i guess they call them stereotypes 'cause they can be left and right, otherwise they'd be monotypes :p -- here in quebec, it now seems that we have managed to create quadrophonictypes ;)

(btw, as a bilingual person, i say you're ALL loud XD )
I'm feeling you up right now..
