meh, the theory was helpfull in the sense of understanding certain laws and signs and signals etc... Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep several times, my teacher talked about his bitch ex wife a lot... Though I would still recomend taking the courses, I think they can help the big picture...
Ufot-i sure do like to drive!

If you got your permit before the law changed the driving courses are not mandatory, or so I've heard.
If you don't have your permit yet, then you will probably have to take the courses. And to pass the theory exam, you really don't have to buy a book or anything, you can just go on the website and go to a section where you can practice questions in the same format that they are given on the exam. It's really easy! What's good about the driving school is that they know what will be on the driving exam so they help out a lot. And i don't think the biggest places are the best, my sister went to a small place near our house called access driving school and she said it was really helpful. Good luck!

my driving school was super sketchy. I was witness to a young couple getting scammed and the lady screamed "what about him? (pointing to me), Are you scamming him as well?". I went and talk to the lady in the hallway.. Forgot what was it about, but the driver school owner came and talk to me, offer me some deal.
I just shut my mouth and did my ENTIRE theory of doing simulated exams on a comp, and having a book. Just like the practical I mentioned previously, I pass everything very easily. |

i for one got a teacher that own the school , and he was his only employee,
to me it was less expensive and more personnal and i felt he was more implicated into teaching me. compared to the big boxes but the saying goes looking for a teacher is actually looking for someone to wake the one inside of us >> [ en.wikipedia.org ] if you nail situation awareness , you wont be a safety hazard like everything that never got courses on the roads everydays, or kids that think their lil 1.2 l is a something form outerspace or some kind of androgen activator. be cool , take control , and look everywhere, same with choosing schools. the rest is just common decency good luck from personnal experience i can tell you if your to live inside the city , go for the hard , they are pains in the ass at henri bourassa . else , take it outside the city , it will be less of a stress. also try not to have your exam fall during the winter , or if you do do it early , snow storms durin an exam can lead to lot of rechedules and etc.. if you have family outside town , i would suggest you take em a visit and lurn near where they at . ill give you a reason to see them , and enjoy better roads than mtls during rush hours. unless you take your course after 7pm , with i think would be less crazy on your nerves at first. whatever ppl will tell you , getting courses will make you a better driver , you wont pick up bad habbits from your friends parents or whoever wanted to lend your car for your trainning. unless they had some themselves or work for some automobile association. and not your street racing assc anybody can get to push a machine at its maximum , handling it not to is the real skill

[ www.saaq.qc.ca ]
