The word Mathematics itself comes from the greek máthēma, which means learning, study and science.
People can't have a conversation by stating math equations and terms exclusively, they're things that are all used to describe interactions. |

If we observe an egg being fertilized and an embryo being formed and assign terms to the stages and procceses it goes through, we didn't invent the proccess; it's something that occurs naturally and has it's own rules, we've just put it down in terms that can be understood scientifically. Explaining something that naturally occurs doesn't mean we invent it, whereas language is something that we've created to communicate. Before humans and animals, there was no language, but there was math, it just wasn't defined as there was no one/nothing to observe. |
