Seriously, it would take at least a few blows to the head before it even begins to loose it combativity. They're fucking strong. Especially if it has rabies, with it's nerves already saturated with pain. I think that a baseball bat would be the best, and even then, I'd have to be pretty fucking efficient. If I had it my way, I'd blow it away but the noise would get me arested. So I came up with master plan, I'll net it, and beat it to a pulp with a baseball bat. Pretty savage, but hey... I can't afford to be all righteous about this. Update » MolocH wrote on Sun Sep 27, 2009 @ 10:26pm And it does break my heart. I know it's just striving to survive. But it's getting dangerous.

I've lived next to Bois D'Liesse, I've seen families of huge motherfuckers probably about the size you're describing :P
The net is an idea, but if you don't immobilise it, it'll still be a problem.. If you've got a porch, you can rig a net up with some food and ropes, so that when you see it you yank it up and pull it up like a pinniata.. then make sure you're still covered/protected incase it swinging gets in range and still scratches.. plus you want to avoid contact with the blood.. get like, a dollar-store raincoat..

I'd prefer to hang the thing rather than beating it up, it's simpler too. The ideal thing would be to box it and hook a engine exhaust (generator?) to the box. Update » DynV wrote on Sun Sep 27, 2009 @ 11:47pm Perhaps some extermination places sell quick/strong poison ? Neurotoxin ? Update » DynV wrote on Mon Sep 28, 2009 @ 12:01am rat poison sound like it inflict sleepiness and appetite loss ; nothing about barfing entrails. Update » DynV wrote on Mon Sep 28, 2009 @ 12:04am the rat poison was wrong : causing diffuse internal bleedings :(

oooo neurotoxin sounds like fun...
let's take it a step further; take pictures of it, send the pictures/story to the media, along with a recorded phone call on how they want YOU to pay to take care of a neighborhood problem... then feed it a chocolate bar with some PCP or acid in it and have it go on a rampage, then the city will look even stupider and more negligent than usual!

That's actually a fucking good idea, but I think it's still dangerous for the neighbourhood. And quite cruel to the thing as it trips it's little diseased brain out... But for all you tender hearts our there, I will try to bother the city about this some more, but I doubt that;ll werk. I actually spazzed at them last time I called... So to me, it's pretty much net and baseball bat.

Did you call the spca (514 735 2711 ext 0)? Maybe they have cages you can use to trap it, then drop it somewhere up north. Its not as macho as busting its skull in with a baseball bat, but it might work.

Unless its frothing at the mouth and being real aggressive (attacking cats and dogs and peoples...), it probably doesn't have rabies. Its just huge and used to humans.
If it that big, there's no way a pellet gun will kill it. A crossbow however...
