I'm feeling at peace right now..

..of course, once again, it's all about the cost that goes into it.

Pepsi Forum = 1 room, no stage, no soundsystem, basic spotlights

Guvernment = 9-10 rooms with soundsystem, stage/dj booth, lights/smoke/lasers/etc

Here they have to rent all that extra stuff, at the guvernment it's already all there, in place, set up and ready to go, the DJs just have to bring their CDs/records and that's it!

To have the party here requires a lot more money invested, since the location has to be rented, a soundsystem has to be put in and calibrated to the room (because it's not as easy as just sticking in speakers and then forgetting about it, you've got to EQ the whole soundsystem based on how the room responds/refelcts frequencies), plus they need to set up lights that aren't just the normal bright stadium lights that you'd have on during a hockey game (how shitty would a rave be all bright with the lights on full-blast?)

Yeah it's a lot of money, but it's also a lot more stuff that has to be rented and set up.

Can anyone tell me why the fuck doesn't Montreal have something like the Government ?

Oh let me guess : because the club owners here are too busy being fucking greedy and torching each other's places instead of banding together to form something similar.

I know what you meen, but think about it:
THE Guvernment don't rent because they already buy all that stuff.

FAIL.

GO Go guyz aller payer 100 $ pour entendre des trucs comme ca.

I'm feeling on a boat right now..
