Koivu, Tanguay and Kovalev, say good bye to that trio!
Just a rumour now, but they are pretty certain that all 10 free agents will sign elsewhere

Pourquoi, Tanguay score tu ?

He is taller than his entire roster hehehe except maybe Laraque Price and O'Byrne and I'm not even sure those 3 pass him.

he can barely shot the puck and score. most of his "nice" goal's he lost balance, lost the puck and it ended up behind the goalie. i agree that unless he takes a 3 mill a season salary he's not worth his meat..

I totally disagree, Tanguay had 0.82 PPG last year tied for second with Markov and only surpassed by Kovy who ahd a big 0.83 PPG. He scored 16 in 50 games, but Tanguay always was a play maker more than a goal scorer, if he hadnt been injured he was on pace for a 26 goals and 68 points.

THose arent tier 1 numbers, but they are well worth 4 to 4.5M, habs fans can be so delusional and completely uninformed.

Get your facts straight before you start bitching... you wanna complain about a player? Fire your lazers Komi's way or better yet at Carbo for icing Kostopoulos on the first line or better yet at Higgins for never attaining his potential.

Tanguay is a very good left winger with a great vision... It seems Montreal fans are never satisfied, I for one would love to have him back in our lineup, but I dont think it's possible with our recent signings. Our priority now should be eitehr Kovy or Koivu, I would really like Koivu as our second center and let the man retire here as it should be.

I think Koivu could be back with the Canadiens. He's 34. Assuming he plays till he's 39, the habs could sign a contract that makes the cap number work. That way he could retire as a Hab. Say something like...

09/10: 6
10/11: 5
11/12: 1.5
12/13: .75
13/14: .75

14/5 = cap hit of 2.8

Ok yeah, it's clear I'm no expert but I can't get over the fact that we had really good players last year who, unfortunately, did shit all on the ice.

Pat, Tanguay was second only to Markov but, erm, how does he compare to the rest of the League ? I'm sure you'll tell me " well, you can't really compare Tanguay with Kovalchuk or Crosby " but that's the whole point, everyone keeps comparing players in the same crappy-ass team. Sure, he scored more than everybody else in the CH which could barely get the puck in the goal if their lives depended on it as of last season.

I dunno, maybe I'm probably just an dumb hockey neophyte but scoring slightly more the Zamboni machine isn't quite a justification for shelling millions of dollars to players in the HOPES they'll manage not to stumble on the blue line while making their way towards the offensive zone.
