...Because of the extreme tempo of the music, and the shaven heads and clothing preference being associated with skinhead s or neo-nazi s, some generalize that gabber fans are Nazis. Feelings of nationalism are quite strong among some gabber groups, and their bomber jackets were often decorated with Dutch flags. Many gabber fans are skinheads of various ideologies, but it does not dominate the style.

...then suddenly we're back to generalizations. As mentioned before, nazis have gotten into all styles of music, so you cannot say that a style is for nazis just 'cause they listen to it, otherwise all music is neo-nazi then (especially breaks).

its your music guys, I'm just reporting what I see and read

if your scene didn't have a problem with the nazis they wouldn't be making anti racist records to begin with

don't get mad like I did something, its your problem not mine

insulting me just makes you look insecure and dumb

yeah, because we so needed you to tell us that it was a slight problem in some European city in order for us to feel better and realize that this was a non-issue to begin with and was unnecessarily and accusingly brought up...what would we do without you? :/

Hein?

Put "nazis" and "gabber" in your search engine, see what comes up

This has nothing to do with me, its your scene,

Thanks for explaining it more thoroughly though, I love learning about music :)

Another source:

On the negative side of the early gabber culture were the football Hooligans and neo-Nazis. Amsterdam and Rotterdam have an extraordinarily strong football feud which has even resulted in deaths (but not at parties). This feud, along with other football feuds, were brought to gabber-parties in which fights would break out. Also some neo-nazis started going to gabber events, no doubt attracted to the hardness of the music. These people who were a vast minority gave the gabber-scene a bad rap.

coincidentally, I came across this typing gabber nazi

download mp3 hardcore, gabber , breakcore, rave скачать хардор, габба, рейв.
gabber.od.ua/blog.php?id=3521 - 20k - Cached - Similar pages"

I do see alot of anti-nazi sentiment by gabber producers (which is obviously a good thing)... I'm curious to know though how any kind of a link between gabber and neo-nazis emerged...

I did find a pretty interesting thread though... talks a bit about the general sentiment and total absence of tolerance toward racism and nazis in holland for example... there is also an explanation as to where the name gabber comes from

Lol, I came across Mutante's track too :) Big up!

Yes there does seem to be a strong anti nazi sentiment in the Gabber community

But that only reinforces my impression that there is a big problem to begin with

I also came across this, an article from 2005

Echos of neo-Nazism are spreading in parts of the techno scene, especially in the genres of gabba and hardcore techno. Music that has an extremely fast beat of at least 180 bpm (beats per minute) and is seen as left-wing in some places, has become a sort of romping place in the Ruhr for a developing right-wing techno-subculture. A development that was also found in the mid-1990s in the Netherlands, where Gabba was created. For a long time, the extreme right’s image was defined by a specific dress code. It wasn’t until 1996, when Hitler’s speeches were sampled by the Dutch DJ group, »88 A.D.R.«, that music started playing a role. Today’s German gabba DJs like »Kahlkopp« (now »WHIPO«) seem to have taken them as their role-model. In classic dancefloor, too, DJs with clever names like »DJ Adolf« have taken to sampling Hitler’s speeches.

You can question your source's legitimacy when the articles are coming from an internet group categorized as : "Main Page >> Dossiers >> Extreme-right influence on music and youth culture" aka "Far-right music".

kalhopf seems to be a punk rock band and i cant find anyting on whipo other than the fact he's affiliated with the said 88adr

and dj adolf. I did a bit of reaserch... correct me if im wrong but this sounds nothing like... on another note some of those comments are really fucking retarded... i cant beleive anyone still cant have this kind of a mentality
