clown my h4 can record mp3s for 8 hours, direct encoding. But I still think it would be better to record in sections.

I record mixes straight in Cubase! then I can add some stuff to beef it up and fix some issues because my mixer isn't too pro and doesn't give a perfect sound when it comes to top-end and low-end freqs. Works well for me!

Hey take it easy mr.Fizzy!

P.S: It's all good mr.Wood, ctait juste un ptit malentendu

I have a feeling CoreAudio gets this artifact shit when you record/play out but you can run audio software incredibly well on Macs without an external sound card. I don't remember what you told me Mik about the quality of that, but after dealing with crappy M-Audio and Edirol products I realized the Fireface is the only way to go. However if you're using a PC, problem is most cards are just total shit. I've fooled around with way too many soundcards and I feel like it's impossible to get rid of all that noise if you're just doing a demo anyways.

Run that shit into your line-in because the mic input will be too loud. Record with Audacity, because it'll be the easiest to find. If you don't have a soundcard however, back over to Mikael for low-cost soundcards that kind of don't suck?

a smoother computer powersupply, something double layered or some shit so no noise go in the powerline

but i dont get the fuss about internal sound card, i can understand for ON BOARD sound card witch is

a total blasphemy of board space. but internal can be way better just for the run of cable they have

to run, u juste need cleaner/reliable grounds.

its not like its a vinyl press that has to be isolated

but kinda
Update » cutterhead wrote on Tue Dec 16, 2008 @ 8:46am
one other thing, do you always veryfy your power outlet you use ? or you just jack in ?

most chances you just plug in, like 90% of the population,

but most time you would be surprise to see that your pins give you 2x 60v instead of 120v

ie twisted / mangled cables, or the common is ground, witch will gives you that reading,

but that fuck the whole plane-shift power usage of the machine, wich results in warp signals,

and fuzz / ground mishaps.

im just saying , here my amps are connected on the stove witch is one shure ground there (i tested it) and wires gives out the whooping 40 amps i need.

try this anywhere u might start wondering whats thats *hum*
Update » cutterhead wrote on Tue Dec 16, 2008 @ 8:50am
<<< clean/good test with meter >>>>

one wire (live must have 120v-0v ref. to the common & ground)

ground and common must be 0v.

so you can read 120v two times on 3 pins. most stuff / old apt. wiring dont qualify this test.

whis why i sleep next to my power panel.
