since it's a 6 hours event, i think the best compromise would be 1 hour per local, 2 hour per headliner, and noisia doing 2 sets of one hour each, one dnb, one whatever else.

yeah well... i cant say im very surprised, i saw noisia and the rest of the line-up and immediatly though: "Aw... noisia are doing electro now?" but either way I think/hope that they'll play at least a bit of dnb (crossing my fingers for messiah remix)

now about dnb in montreal... I think its hard to convince people to go out to a dnb night... it takes a lot of hard work (KO last friday payed off for beat concierge's hard work though) but that doesnt mean the crowd doesnt like it... I saw amon tobin play to a packed metropolis playing deconstructed jungle and dnb and the whole dancefloor was going absolutely nutz, and it was mentioned earlier, sase one at pikniks got everyone dancing too

Just look at sat at joe nice... fine its not dnb but if we're talking about bass culture... I mean, the place was packed! thing is, people will go to a night if it has a brand name, piknik, mutek, ninja tune even komodo at this point is well known... I get the feeling that, in general, the montreal crowd like dnb/bass culture but they wont go out to a night if it doenst have the piknik/mutek/komodo/ninja tune/wtv else seal of approval.

P.S.: All these crews i just mentioned... mutek, piknik, ninja tune and komodo... I love all of them! and I am happy to have them in montreal, I am in no way trying to diss them! I think they do a great job in their own fields
I'm feeling funkier than james right now..

Noob Singleton, if we booked josh wink and had him play an all D'n'B set you would be just as unhappy..wanker. Now you're discouraging me from coming entirely? Good promoting skills dummy.

Ironically if one local dnb dj had been picked to open up the show,

You'd probably all be fighting over that instead

You're damn right. All about the money. And at least they are living with this.

And oh yeah : what's this with the "noob" thing? are we one some forum about world of warcraft? ...

And promoting, even thought it's not my event, is about reaching ppl wanting to come to an event. You obviously will waste your big 10$, in one of the biggest outdoor event of the winter. We'll post pictures.

PS: there's nothing appealing about freezing your nuts off outside waiting to hear your favorite Musical act not play their respective genre.
