Oh I suppose you're right, I remember "alien" E, power peach and "pink" pills, that pretty much garanteed a kickass vibe at any party haha! I think my trips were more about music, if the djs/music sucked then we just went home and played our own records til we passed out... I don't like forcing myself to stay at a rave just cause "I'm already there and I paid". Would rather have a good time somewhere else and not have to eat 3 more pills just to avoid realising how shitty the party is. Do you think older ravers back then thought the same about us tho? I always wondered, maybe to them we also seemed to "just wanna get shitfaced" and were musically uneducated. Gotta start somewhere, we can't expect everybody to figure it out right away. i think it's normal when you discover the world of drugs to just wanna do them at every party. Maybe we are the ones who should be responsible for the vibe and make sure it's the very best, cause it seems that we're the ones complaining about how "it's not what it used to be"... Part of me wants to believe this is untrue but I guess it has some merits. Still, I remember going sober to raves and still getting chills from a nice trancey build-up; or those already old-skool peepz drinking their asses off in the parking lot and making fun of those peepz way too high on 3 speeds and 2 e's... Don't know where I'm trying to go with this, but well... I guess there were always peepz going for the music (sober or not), those that went to get shitfaced and those trying to tap young raver meat. Hasn't changed much, all in all, IMHO :) ... OK, so yeah, maybe the music did. Generator was a kickass tune :) |
