| well, chainsaws, despite having sharp bits, are really inaccurate, and they're only really made for going through hard/solid stationary objects. On skin/flesh, a chainsaw does damage similar to chewing.. The few sharp bits dig into the skin and cause the initial breaking of the skin, but the chain, which is thicker, ends up tearing/pulling the skin at lots of different points. |

| that could, yeah! But it would be hell on the motor of the thing; blood clotting would gum up the motor.. It's why doctors/morticians still use a scalpel to cut open people; not only is it clean and doesn't make blood spurt everywhere, but it won't gum up.. They use them for cutting bones or skulls open, but for thinks like the chest they still usually use a razor-edge hacksaw (similar to a jewler's saw, but with a longer blade)
So, I'd imagine that if some psycho was serious about their killing and chopping up of people, they probably wouldn't use a power tool for it, or at least not after the first couple of times having to replace them, as buying lots of powertools could draw suspicion to a person if bodies turn up frequently dismembered by some.. |
