Actually, that's not 100% true. It's what I thought as well for a really long time.. But sound is not "generated" by an object, it's an interpretation of vibrations by the brain of humans and animals. So, if a tree falls in a forest, it causes the vibrations that we interpret as sound, yes. But if there are no humans or animals around it to interpret the vibrations, then there is no sound. |
