Let`s talk about heat first since it is everyone favorite subject.

when u go to a rave, what do u expect, air condition?, sweet cool air breeze?. whether there was 500 or 700 people, it is gonna get hot. i was ok and i was wearing a sport jacket.

the music; it was pwetty good, but the sound system really suck. I like to support locals DJS but i like to hear/see some outside talent.

too bad about the electro`dnb room, music down for too long and it was way way too small.

the crowd was cool, there was good vibe.

here`s a rant;
i see now how these days, there are commercial raves and "underground raves". There was a time when such terms were not in used. In fact, raves used to be call werehouse parties.

People who bitch about parties these days, u don't know how lucky u are. Every month, there are generous amount of parties in every flava.
Don't take things for granted...

b4 the time of 514, Sona and all other afterhours, Ray junior, the defunct Channel, we waited for at least a month for a party/rave whether is drum n bass, hardcore (why did happy was added?), trance, we would all go.

Maybe people are too spoiled; expect too much from promoters. yea promoters are suppose to get
better with accomendations with every party they throw. but it is the People dat makes the party.

Yea, the vibe, the good time come from the crowd and the DJs feed off that. I been to a party at a crumbling, abandonned building with no bathrooms, no light, no electricity, no ventilation. All there was 2 turntables, a mixer, a amp, like 4 speakers, and a gas generator. Still people had a good time.

The didn't have to pay anything for the soundsystem... All they had to pay was 1000$ for the location which came with the soundsystem and turntables and cd players...

The only extra cost was for the Djs which were all locals so maximum 100$/Dj and maybe 50$/Dj depending on who...

Security was maybe 150$/person and there was a lot of security so let us say 1500$ for security...

Decoration is cheap and lighting could not be more than a few hungred dollars, so maybe 500$ extra...

Flyers are also another cost, 500$ for 10000 flyers...

So maybe the party does not cost more than 5000$ but as we all know, no one wants to make a party and not make money from it... In all the party was a great success even though I did sleep most of it cause I was super tiered. The music was amazing, the sound sucked but if you were close to the speaker it was alright. It was everything people should have expected from a semi-commercial semi-underground rave... As we all know "underground" to clubbers means "not in an afterhours"...

Overall it's good that the promoter made 10,000$ cause he put a lot of work into the party... A good 2 months... He also split the profits with his partner so 5000$ each... It's a good sum for 2 months of work...

I hope we have more parties like this one... Everything went well without any flaws and that's what counts... Too hot, who cares you have to expect it for a packed party...

it only costs 10$ to rent a proper aeration system. they cant say that they couldnt do anything about it. If they knew anything about that venue they would have known that it has poor aeration

thing is, we all know that a big "palette" was made that night. and it needs to be rolling in the scene!!!

MO parties!

If they truely did a party for the underground scene... hummmm....
well underground parties should get help from them... 10 000 $ moulsters is a good start to help promoters with good opportunities but no $$$.

NE ways,
nuff bitching.

Hope they get around helping people out, cause they've been getting help around too!

PArty ON!

Unfortunatly, the $$$ thang is none of our business.
They invested money with risks, they worked hard, their party was a success.
Then, what's left is their own thing ....

Promoter's who ends up making money are rare and lucky.

Live and let live.

Fuck that! It was a great party but there IS an affiliation with bikers cause some DJ's were paid in "DRUGS" and you packed like 300 "Extra" people into that venue. And those little dealers that annoy the shit out of everyone. You don't think we bring our own? You should know by now that by having that affiliation bikers increases our chances of getting busted. Let's say the police find out that "Our so-called Rave scene" is working with bikers; they would considers "US" as a part of that scene. They don't ignore that fact people. If they go down, we ALL do.

On a lighter note; Big selections were executed yestersay morning by the seletors; Djoos Coreyk
Galaksy and Mindset. Exquisit job done by all considering the circumstances. Peter, your party rocked, but Planning Is KEY.

thye price were paying our Dj is not your buizness but I can tell you, every Dj was paying more than suppose, and I think that every Dj was happy, 600 persons... yeah its true, but inclued, Dj, Staff, Sécu, Friend, VIP, and a lot of people on the guess list and dont pay to come at this party so in the 600 people minimum 150 to 200 dont pay to come inside
For the biker men I really dont know what do you mean, are you jalous, you want to blast us with this kind of shit hahaha good try but...what is your target??? for the second time I tell you:"we have no control with biker, they make her buizness, we cant do anything with this kind of problem, its not my buizness and I dont care about biker if they dont make trouble, they are everywhere in any place, its Montreal you have biker in any club, afterhours, rave our in the street, WAKE UP, what you want to do with this kind of problem Im not a cop and Im not a biker so is not my buizness, and I dont care about this kind of people, Im not associate with this kind of people too, so we dont make cash with drugs, do you know me, NO, so tell me how can you judge me if you dont know who am I???"I think you are just an other promoter who want to blast us cause your are jalous, men do you know everything we have to do for the succes of this party, big work and we make our possible to make good and beatifull party dont worry!!!
now for the cash, what do you think!!!!10 000$ of benifice, WHAT!!! are you crazy mouhahaha lol WOW,I dont know now how many we has making with this party but of curse trust me we have a lot of thing to pay, and its sure we was making some money but not a big fortune like that, fuck off I dont care about money, all benifice its for you "the rave scene" and make better party, we are not there to make money like other promoter and take the cash to put in our poket dont worry, everybody who know us personnaly know this, so you I dont know you and you dont know me, now tell me...
Who are you to judge!? God?
RESPECT
Sorry I know this party was not perfect but they was making our possible, and the next event will be a better party dont worry, Party dla St-Jean its our next event (23-24 June) and this event will Kick ass its sure trust me!!!:)
