yes.. but how would it be possible for us to manage time like that?
if we change something in the past, how would we know what that little change can produce for the future and how would we be able to return to the "present"? every travel through time would theoretically create a parallel universe where time was altered for the sake of our travel

yes yes i've already thought about that, and we've all seen back to the future with the alternate presents.

yeah, but its true though...

how could you time travel without changing time?

how are humans able to defy gravity and fly without changing gravity...?

thats a force that does not define our existence... time does
time is not a force, it is a universal constant or function

how do you know?
gravitation forces define a lot of the universe and how it is. granted time is a more powerful force, i don't see why it would be any different..

because its not a force.. it isnt acting on anything... it doesnt depend on anything else...
its merely there

gravity depends on other things, time does not.. everything depends on time.. time depends on nothing
it is independent of all other things

if we ever find out that time depends on something then we will be able to maneuver around it.. but i doubt we ever will

heh, that sounds like someone defining god.

but what makes you think time is independant? i mean, for all we know it could very possibly rely on something we're unaware of, like subatomic particles or something.. who knows..
