yeah but the concept time was invented by man. the 24hr day, the 7 day week, the 12 month year complete with a short month (feb) to pick up the slack. its a system that works based on cycles that we observed in nature. but nature doesnt need time to function, it just happens. WE are the ones who impose it on ourselves....think of how often time plays into your day and your conversations : time to go to school, what time is it?, i dont have time, how many times do i have to tell you, your time is up, the time is now, this time will be diffrent, hey baby: anytime, i have plenty of time etc.......

no, we measured time and used our measurement system to gage it.

much like math, we didn't invent it.. we just came up with a system of rules to understand it in some quaint way.

thing is we don't have to understand time to gage it, we just know it's there.

yeah but time only exists as much as our perception of it does....if we werent around would there be time? do the seasons need us and our clocks to know its time to turn to spring or winter? do the leaves need time to know theyre gotta fall off a tree? we measured time and came up with a system to define what we saw, a system that isnt even perfect....well its perfect in its imperfection but without the leap year and the 28-day month of feb, we'd be totally off ....
we assign value to time, like we assign value to paper with numbers on it, therefore it controls us..

of course we're not needed for time to exist and keep functioning... that s the point. Time just IS.
it happens regardless of us or anything... if time stopped, who would know? we are bound by it.. not by our perception of it

we are NOT bound by it we only think we are.... we create the concept of past and future when there really only is one time: the present.

we most certainly are bound by time.

if we weren't then we'd be able to leave time, and see how fast or slow it really is going..
kinda like a car with no windows we're stuck inside it not knowing if we're moving fast or not at all.

until you go outside the car you cannot see how fast time is actually going.

time is composed of seconds minutes and hours. i believe those are just words that indicates our position around the sun. for example. 1 second can be a 1 km mouvement . every 4 months (every season) , the earth completes 1 fourth of its way around the sun. so time would be used as a mathematical term to indicate our position

no... thats the human definition of a unit of time
time passes... we cant stop it... we ARE bound by it.
time WILL kill us all. we cannot control it

the passing of time will make sure that you are dead..
time passes, we cant make it stop. time makes us age, time is making me type this message.. withtout it i wouldnt be doing any of this since it would not be able to exist

at least that's the idea..
see, i don't understand what makes time tick.. which makes me wonder, is it possible to go outside of time?

theoretically i would say it is... but practically, i don't think so...

if you wre able to go outside of time, how would you know where or when you were and what you were seeing? everything is relative to time, so if you take it away, you're not left with much... a void really, where im assuming you would freeze or disappear forever...
thats a good question... i wish einstein was still alive, he had a lot of good stuff on time

i think once we manage to figure out how time functions we'll be able to build a time machine..

that'd be cool.
