the nice thing about arguing on the internet is that you never have to admit that you are wrong...

Well I never heard of anyone promising raisins, so I suppose a bunch of fundamentalist assholes are wrong too.

According to Manji it just might be a horrible mistranslation from the old arabic, the word for 'white raisin' and 'virgin' being very close in spelling...

Prove something that does not exist? do you realized how idiotic and illogical that is? Prove to me that Santa Claus does not exist.
Do you even know scientific method?
We have theories and hypothesis, those we can tests and find proof, and results being scrutinized by colleagues.

The ancient world believe the Earth is in the center, and thus just because 5 billion people believe in some sort of deity does not make it so.
You know that gravity exist right? then where is it? where are the (in theory) graviton molecules?
Can't smell it, can't touch it, can't see it. However we know that it is there because of the ample evidence in the Universe.

And just belief in a god is not evidence, not matter how much you have of it.
The god hypothesis is close to 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of being true.

So please stop regurgitated verbal diarrhea. I remember, in this very forum, when someone ask Basdini what is his religion, and he responded "the right one". Now that is just condescending.

" All religions have based morality on obedience, that is to say, on voluntary slavery. That is why they have always been more pernicious than any political organization. For the latter makes use of violence, and the former--of the corruption of the will."

"Prove something that does not exist? do you realized how idiotic and illogical that is? Prove to me that Santa Claus does not exist."

we prove that things don't exist all the time there is nothing strange about this (or illogical or idiotic), we can take the classic example of 'Phlogiston' which was an element posited in the middle ages to be responsible for heat transfer and other thermodynamic properties. It was proven to not exist using the scientific method, [ en.wikipedia.org ] You could prove that Santa Clause does not exist, if that's what you want to be doing with your time...

"And just belief in a god is not evidence, not matter how much you have of it.
The god hypothesis is close to 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of being true." This nothing but rhetoric you have no basis for this statement, non-belief in god is not evidence either,

saying that god's exisistence is close to "0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%" to being true is totally arbitrary on your part why not, say "0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000002%" or "0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000003%"...the fact is, there is no basis for this number in fact, you know this, i don't think we need to waste more time on this particular point.

gravity has been proven to exist in meaningful ways that we all accept there is nothing controversial about this, with regards to god's non-existence nothing even approaching a convincing proof has been put forward.

I don't know how many times i have to say this but, NOT BEING ABLE TO PROVE SOMETHING TRUE DOES NOT MAKE IT FALSE...this is not complicated, if you want to prove that the statement 'god exsts' is false, then you are actually going to have to go out into the world into the world and do that, simply saying "well it's not true" is not a proof.

"I remember, in this very forum, when someone ask Basdini what is his religion, and he responded "the right one". Now that is just condescending." When i said that i was being facetious, i think that everyone understands that, i said it more to poke a little fun a fred than anything else.

it doesn't bother me that i can't prove god exists as i have stated many times, i'm not trying to do that, my position doesn't require that i prove that, however your position seems to require that you prove that god does not exist, or else... admit that you hold something, dare i say it, as an article of 'faith', which seems to undermine your whole position given that it's based on the asertion that everything can be proven...
The reality of the matter is that you as an atheist (like all atheists) don't have much to support your position, you try to ram it through by use of heavy amounts of rhetoric and intelllectual bluster because that's all you can rely on, further shown by your inability to have this discussion without insluting me on a personal level.
I'm feeling surly right now..
