"Concept personnage x": First of all, this sounds like a concept Slipknot would thought of; popularity through anonimity......but DJs should not be famous due to outrageaous concepts and silly promotional tactics, they should be known for their skills and merit...otherwise we are no better than Celine Dion, or the winner of American Idol... Besides all the above idealistic shit, the fact of the matter is that there is a label that has pulled off a simialr concept quite nicely, through the publication of music, wherein the artists are not specified on the record...basically, the (usually already established) artists go about doing whatever they want, but their song realeased on this label only are not credited to the artist, so when someone picks up the record, they listen to the tunes they like, regardless of who may have written it (and there are already thousands of white lebels out there anyway)... ...it's a way of putting the music first... ...but making performing DJs anonimous is just kinda dumb...souns more like prison than anything else, "would DJ 7142 please step forward", or in this case: "would DJ X please step forward...",reply:"That's me! wait, or is that you?","no it's him over there...oh, I don't know anymore"... Anyway, props to trying to think of a new concept, but as you can see from the last 8 pages, I doubt you have public support...I suggest that next time you just do it, go for it, take your chances, and don't tell anyone until it's organized, otherwise you will continue getting well justified negative feedback...Asking people here for their opinion on something before it's conrete is like asking someone to shoot you in the stomach...and right now you are destroying your name, like a hole in a vital organ.... There are all sorts of possibilities, put on your thinking cap and think of something new, something that has not aleady been done... .. . (sorry for the long GenDee-esque post) |

Not that you're actually going to pay any attention to what people with more experience and knowledge of how music and the music scene works anyways. |

Sep 5 2007 @ 12:28pm Allo MY_400_FUCKER, ici General Dee. Je t'écris ce petit mot juste pour te dire que j'aime pas tes post qui sont a 90% négatifs a mon égards. Je sais que je suis un petit nouveau,, qui manque de d'expérience mais malgré tout je comprends toujours pas pourquoi tu essaye de détruire au lieu de m'aider a construire. Il est clair que ce que tu fait est un geste gratuit et super facile a faire, je ne t'en veux pas de faire ce que pas mal tout le monde font par exemple. Compte sur moi pour garder la tête haute et continuer a foncer dans ce que je crois. Si l'idée te dis de me venir en aide au lieu de me détruire fait moi signe svp il me fera plaisir de travailler avec toi sur un projet futur. Si tu préfère essayer de me détruire a la place, pas de trouble continue comme tu le fait déjà si bien. Une chose de sur et certain avec le caractère et le moral que j'ai, j'ai aucunement l'intention d'abandonner et de changer de vocation malgré tout ce qui peux être dis ou fait contre moi et mes projets. Je ne te dérangerais pas plus longtemps, je tenais juste a te dire ca. Bonne journée a toi chummy. P.S. J'ai aucun rapport et contact avec le centre fractal, je ne sais même pas ou ce trouve leur locaux. J'ai lu ta mésaventure que tu as eu avec le centre fractal et je désapprouve ce comportement néfaste pour tout le monde. S.V.P. n'associe pas ma soirée rave VS After Hours 1 au centre fractal, je ne me sauve ni me cache de personne moi. Merci de ta compréhension.
