i have a really hard time getting ideas out there for the simple fact that people seem to like finding what's wrong and negative about each other, so something that might have seemed like a good idea to me at first, becomes the biggest load of shit after it's exposed to someone else. +age = +precautions (may = stagnant creativity in most cases) about 98% of 'my work' will never be seen nor read by anyone else but me, and as much as that sucks, it's keeping me from completely giving up on all of this. Most of the things that I do post, are total shit and I'm well aware of it, so any negative comment I could possibly get then is shrugged off with a "meh, I totally agree." I'm happy with the pixies in my head. |

I thought I was the least creative person till I was kicked in the ass into doing two dozen different drafts for one project... just gotta stop thinking that the first idea you get is the best one, that only happens once out of a hundred times... the rest of the time, the first idea you'll have'll just be the same idea everyone else had... crap!
Graphic desing is creative... it sure as hell aint art, but its a form of creativity that has to be put in the boundries of what the client wants... and sometimes boundries can make someone a whole lot more creative than absolute freedom my point simply being that freedom does not necessarely mean creativity... boundries are there for a reason... djs will know what im talking about when i say that mixing two basslines sounds like crap(99% of the time)... if you're gonna wanna break that boundry, better make it fucking good or else, you aint gettin "oh well at least it was creative..." you're getting "dude wtf, everyone knows you're not supposed to do that" we always wanna break boundries thinking we'll be doing something that's never been done... but its a much bigger chanllenge and more rewarding to be original inside the boundries mah 2 cents sti |
